Welcome to the realm of Viridian City and the mysterious Viridian Forest! This play-by-post adventure offers a unique and special experience where countless adventurers can join the quest. Here's how it all works:
🌆 **Viridian City** - You start your journey at level 1 in the bustling town of Viridian City. It's a thriving hub, home to around 4,000 residents, with thousands more passing through temporarily in search of adventure or to trade with adventurers. - Viridian City offers a wide array of shops, from equipment stores to magical item shops. Shopping is done honorably, so please be honest when deducting expenses from your character sheet. - For mundane items costing 1,000 gp or less, assume you can find them at standard prices. If you seek something between 1,001 and 5,000 gp, roll a d20. A successful roll allows you to find the item at the regular cost. - Looking for magic items? Roll three times on the magic item table (a modified version of magic item table B from the DMG) to generate a stock. Consumables have a stock of 1d4+1 items, and you can use a pricing calculator for these items.
🌲 **Viridian Forest** - Venture into the mysterious Viridian Forest with a group you've formed in town. - Create a private thread with the "private" tag for your party's adventure in the Viridian Forest.
-I may pop in occasionally to ensure things run smoothly.
🍻 **Tavern** - The Greenleaf Tavern serves as the heart of Viridian City. It provides affordable rooms for rest and delicious meals for adventurers. - The tavern is a spacious gathering place where adventurers can discuss, form groups, and plan their journeys. While weapons are allowed, the experienced dragonborn veterans discourage tavern brawls.
🤷♂️**Questions**

How does this work forum-wise? A single thread (this one) for all campaigns and encounters, this one for recruitment and more for playing, Discord, or something else? Pbp or live sessions?
Ash sat at the table looking at the crackling fire with envy. For some reason, he couldn't get warmer. Strange. The Greenleaf was packed tonight and the singer on the stage was putting on a good show. The half-elf smiled and then turned to his companion.
"It's your time to get the drinks." he pointed to the overcrowded bar and the busy barmaid. " Go and then we talk about the new job."
Ash was jolted in the back as a group of young adventurers moved around his table laughing and joking. Unclenshing his fists took some effort and he shook his head, berating himself. " Got to calm down. This isn't going to get easier," he mumbled to himself, the words drowning in the general cacophony.
So we meet our contact tomorrow morning at the corner of Bakery Street and Hollow Square and then we see where that leads us. Hopefully, we will have a lead on the missing shipment. We really need that money. The mage thought, feeling his rather empty purse inside his robes.
"Sit down, my friend. " Ash turns at the sound of the voice. He takes his feet off the chair he was saving. " I wasn't sure you would show up."
To read if you need some context.
Ash is sitting in a crowded tavern room. The adventurers are gathering to find a missing shipment. The contract comes from the Mandovar Consortium a guild that deals in foreign luxury goods.
This is a DMless game so feel free to add to the thread as you see fit. And let's try to keep it RP, please.
" Well for now you can relax and enjoy the show." He mentions to his struggling partner, trying do get the barmaid's attention. " We got a meeting tomorrow with the Rats and we will see how that goes. Happy to have you with us."
As an afterthought, he adds. " What kept you? "
Could you link your character's sheet if able? So I know who I'm talking to. Lol
Lia Gemflower sat gracefully at the crowded tavern table, her eyes shifting like emerald gems as she surveyed the room's vibrant chaos. She was dressed in a sleek ensemble, a blend of elegance and practicality—a deep forest-green cloak draped over her shoulders, concealing much of her attire, with intricate silver embroidery shimmering along its edges. Underneath, she wore a form-fitting ensemble of dark leather, designed for agility and comfort. A pendant hung from her neck, a delicate trinket in the shape of an intricate lock, a nod to her rogue's expertise. Her auburn hair, kissed by the tavern's warm firelight, cascaded down her shoulders, blending seamlessly with the deep hues of her cloak. Her striking emerald eyes, one the color of a forest canopy and the other a deep shade of indigo, observed the room with a keen intelligence. She wore an enigmatic smile, a testament to the mystery she embodied. Lia's attention was drawn to the group sitting at the nearby table, deep in conversation about a missing shipment. A contract from the Mandovar Consortium had brought them together, a guild dealing in foreign luxury goods. As her companions discussed their upcoming meeting, Lia's gaze remained steady, her eyes dancing between the singer on the stage and the bustling crowd. She watched as Ash gestured for their companion to fetch drinks. The tavern was abuzz with laughter and merriment, a stark contrast to the serious matters at hand. Lia couldn't help but notice the tension in the air, the unspoken worries that lingered beneath the jovial facade. Sayeye, the newest addition to their group, joined the table, and Ash welcomed them with a warm smile. Lia remained an observer for now, content to let her companions discuss the job they were about to undertake. The missing shipment and the promise of much-needed funds weighed heavily on her mind. As Ash and Sayeye conversed, Lia couldn't help but think about the uncertain path ahead. Tomorrow's meeting with the Rats would be a pivotal moment, and she hoped it would lead them to the elusive missing goods. In the meantime, she savored the ambiance of the Greenleaf Tavern, finding solace in the music, the laughter, and the camaraderie of adventurers gathered for their own reasons, all while concealing her true intentions behind a mask of enigmatic charm.
Lia Gemflower's enigmatic smile persisted as she turned her attention toward Sayeye. Her emerald and indigo eyes held a hint of curiosity, and she responded with a voice as smooth as silk, "Of course, Sayeye. Ask away. What's on your mind?" She leaned slightly forward, her posture inviting conversation while still retaining an air of mystery.

I could run the first campaign

this sounds really interesting, I assume actual play will happen on discord to allow all the threads to be in the same place?
I hope this can stay here on Beyond, as I would be interested if that is the case. If it moves to discord then I'll be out.
Let's begin then.

This is coming together well Ash thought. At least they are talking...
The tavern was lively and Ash enjoyed seeing his companions smile. It was a good idea coming here.
He turned to Lia, waiting for Sayeye to finish his story before jumping in.
" You take the lead tomorrow with the Rats or should I." he winks, " Just so I can get my spells right."
I don't know who is going for drinks. I left it open so someone could jump in.
You guys can change the story whenever of course. Got a few things in mind but will roll with anything you throw at me.
