However, our dpr has been inactive for over a month and I need to recruit a new one.
We need preferably a rogue, Ranger, or monk.
For character creation there’s only a few rules. You can use any official material or anything from CR.
xp leveling. I’ll tell you exactly how much you have after you join. We just hit level three so make a third lvl character.
for ability scores roll two sets of 4d6 drop lowest and choose the one you like better.
And lastly, you need to be fairly active. Im hoping to choose in the next few days as well.

Yeah, I was being presumptuous. I've edited my post to remove the +1 magic item. I also assumed 400 gp for the breastplate. I could easily replace it with scale mail.

Backstory (can modify to match your world) - Grew up on the streets living by any means necessary which meant stealing from anyone and everyone. Came to a conclusion that one day when she got caught it would go badly for her, so she decided to join the military and use her skills there. She advanced in the ranks learning more skills and combat techniques so when she left the military she became an adventurer.
When I said very combat heavy, I meant almost completely combat. The setting we’re running with right now is that the party is captured by a mind flayer and in an inescapable mindscape (although they don’t know it) where the mind flayer is putting them against every monster in existence from cr 1/8 up and showing the fights to an audience for entertainment and profit.
We could decide to change that at any moment if we come up with something better. The main thing we’re trying to do is see if a typical group of adventurers can defeat the entire monster manual(s)
ALSO one of the players has a high tier subscription and enabled content sharing, so if there’s a subclass you want to play but don’t have access to, she’s got you covered.
