I am ok with keeping the rolls - don't want people who rolled well to lose their nice stats :)
Mine are slightly better than a standard array and I like them, but there will be a big discrepancy between character power levels, I think? I could be wrong, as I am not familiar with D&D 5e.
I rolled pretty terribly, but it is what it is. I’m fine with whatever. The role play is honestly more important to me. Speaking of which….when you ask for rolls, should we do them in the thread or in the campaign through our character sheets?

I am not that much of a veteran so I'm counting on the more experienced players to correct me if I say something wrong, but considering the natural division of roles amongst the different classes I don't think there would be discrepancy between power levels. Each character can, at least by the scores I saw, excel in their respective areas while in combat the difference to hit is a +1.
How do we handle “private” conversations? For example, Daveth and Belwar will be sharing a room overnight. Do we post any conversations we might have in the thread? What if there was something I wanted to discuss with Daveth privately while in our room? Do we private message or post with spoilers? Like I’ve said before, this is my first PbP.
Spoiler method it is! Another question, I was strongly considering Divination as my Subclass. The Portent ability states that it is used before a roll is made. With this format it might be difficult for me to declare its use before the roll is made all the time. Should we modify its use slightly to compensate?
I was going to cast identify on the box at some point, but it requires a pearl worth 100gp. I wanted to check with you to see if Belwar would have that (knowing I won’t sell it to get gold) or if it is something I need to try to acquire.

This is the out-of-character thread for my game, In the Shadow of the Mountains: LMoP.

Dotted!
Should we come to a clear consensus of how we want our ability scores to be calculated?
I vote Point buy, though I am fine with whatever.

Palifwan "Pal" Turnipson I Level 0 Harengon I Hero's Journey
The only thing I care about is that everyone determine stats the same way (either all point buy or all rolled).

I vote for keeping the rolls.

In the in-character thread. Fewer places for me to look.

Ideally, post in the main thread with "SPOILER for Daveth," or we can do multi-person PMs if that's everyone's preference.

Yeah, that's fine by me. Just let me know when you want to use it as you roll and that should work.

@DM
Do you use the poisoned condition rules for drunkenness?
Depends how drunk you are.
DM: In the Shadow of the Mountains: Lost Mine of Phandelver
@DM
I don't know if Kress can get drunk because of his immunity to poison and the poisoned condition.
@Everyone
I'm fine with having Kress walk besides the cart. He don't really know how to drive it.
It really only matters who's driving once you get off the road and onto the less well-maintained Triboar Trail, which is narrow and rough.
