Background: Folk Hero
Runt was born far smaller than any of the other Goliaths in his clan. Growing up he never knew any name than Runt. His clan used him for manual labor and 'recon' (more like cannon fodder.) He never really killed anything more than goblins meanwhile his peers were taking down ogres. When his clan had run into a tough time they sent him on an errand for more firewood, meanwhile abandoning him and moving to a more prosperous territory.
Runt spent many months surviving in the woods until he eventually found his way to Greyhawk. Despite some concerns from some locals he showed his usefulness with laborious tasks. Where he was but a weakling amongst titans, he was a strong helpful hand amongst regular Humans. Through the years he gained the trust of the commoners of Greyhawk as a fine hunter and carpenter. Because of his notoriety he has now joined the army in help against the goblin menace terrorizing the lands.

Background: Caine was a very compliant acolyte in the Monastery. However, he is not the most politically astute member of the monastery, Caine was summoned by the Abbot and was voluntold to join the nice soldiers visiting the Abbot as a recruit for the ongoing war.
