Seeking 1st level adventurers for Cupid's Sparrow:
Health potions are red
Knife blades are too,
On Sune's Day you'll see
If the one you love is true
This is a roleplay-heavy one-shot, where an adventuring party finds themselves in the midst of a celebration gone awry. I've DMed multiple long-running PbP campaigns here so I figure it's about time for another one-shot. If you like PbP or want to give it a shot but are concerned about committing to a campaign that runs longer than a couple of months, this may be the adventure for you.
Standard Array, Point Buy, and Rolling (4d6 drop lowest) are all accepted for determining ability scores, but if you are using rolls, those rolls must be made here or in a PM, and there are no rerolls allowed. Rolling is a gamble, if you don't want to chance lower-than-average scores, take the Standard Array or use Point Buy.
How To Apply:
- Reply to this thread or send me a PM with the 1) race/class you would like to play, 2) a short background summary, and 3) your method of determining ability scores (include rolls if rolling and remember there are no rerolls allowed. No Unearthed Arcana or homebrew characters will be accepted.
About The Adventure:
- Setting: The Forgotten Realms (Faerûn)
- This adventure is heavy on roleplay and light on combat (quite possibly devoid of combat).
- In real-time, this adventure could be easily run in a single session. In PbP time, that's likely 1-3 months of daily posting.
About The DM & House Rules:
- I DM for three groups and run four PbP adventures on this site. I enjoy how PbP campaigns allow groups of people to come together and create an awesome story. It's a great creative outlet and it helps me sharpen the DM sword.
- Typically, I resolve and advance once or twice a day, depending on the situation and how quickly players post.
- Most of my PbP campaigns are Theater of the Mind. I also roll initiative in groups so that rounds of combat can progress as quickly as possible. With your response, please send me a PM that includes the phrase “Druid's Delight” so I know I will have players with attention to detail.
- I don't use any averages. Enemy/NPC health is rolled and all damage is rolled.
- Your character can die. I don't fudge rolls and reckless actions have consequences.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
1) Hi, I'd like to play a dwarf paladin if possible?
2) I don't have much of a background DND, this would be my first time really getting into it and playing, but I do have a lot of experience with roleplay, especially forum and PBP types.

Apologies, I got confused with the rolling and didn't want to edit or make it seem like I fudged the roll.
Definitely interested! Will wrap something up and edit this post soon. :)
