Hello, all, and thank you for looking at this thread! So this means that my spell does work!
In this campaign, things will happen. Many things. From New York City to the depths of dungeons, your character will explore, fight, roleplay, and generally make their way through everything sent at them. They'll see things that are unbelievable, to things that are...well, very normal, I suppose. This is a story of mystery...intrigue...and fantasy. A story of annoying characters, (possible) redemption, and/or a chance for your PCs to become public enemies.
Anyway, I'm just putting a short version of this out there to see if anyone's interested. I'll elaborate more if I get some people, but just know that this is a slow-moving campaign. (High school is hard to combine with all of my interests.) Roll up 1st-level characters, with a class, but imagine it in the context of New York -- where you begin your story.
I'm working on figuring out how to use Maps (sorry, I'm not the most tech-minded), but I probably can get that working soon-ish.
Link Aasimar (thinks he’s human). Charlatan Bard he’s been making health drinks for so long he thinks they’re the real deal (kombucha).
Born and raised in NY by a single hippie mom named Star. Phil loves pizza. He’s been trying to make a living gathering fruit scraps making ‘health’ drinks. Thorn’s mom is an unreliable source due to her habits and general life outlook, Phillip never knew his dad, a star man his mom called him. Mr Thorn as he calls himself while trying to sell his goods, can have a bit of a temper, like a cabby or jacked up investor. Phillip has a good heart just takes a lot to get him to step in…
If you’re including an earth aspect into this setting, is it another cosmology or something combined, fully homebrew I’m assuming. Where would we originate (NYC?). It does sound fun if there’s enough interest to launch.
Might want to add recruiting status on this thread too.
Rowan McMasters (Human but might have some fae in the mix... unsure just yet) Something magical... wizard? sorcerer? libriomancer? I'll have to work this up as a character in the DDB character builder!
An urban loner in her late twenties, Rowan spends her days cataloging the old, esoteric books at The Curious Page, a tiny, perpetually dim bookshop in Greenwich Village. The shop is a jumble of narrow, winding aisles filled with rare first editions, occult manuscripts, and a resident cat named Poe. Rowan is known for her quiet demeanor, sharp eye, and her uncanny ability to find the exact, obscure book a customer was subconsciously looking for.
Appearance Hair and style: Rowan has an ever-changing hair color, currently a washed-out rose-pink, a remnant from a burst of spontaneity months prior. She wears thick, round-framed glasses perched on her nose. Attire: Her fashion sense leans toward the comfortable and slightly mismatched, opting for oversized cardigans, worn-in jeans, and well-loved boots. She often wears a simple silver pendant that holds a smooth, dark piece of obsidian she believes helps ground her. Demeanor: Her movements are precise but never hurried, a quality mirrored in the quiet, hushed atmosphere of the shop. She is more comfortable in the silent company of books than in large crowds.
More... to work up on 'discovering' the magic in books.... and the shop... and the owner.... and the city.

Your idea is intriguing.
