If you have any questions, feel free to ask them below or dm me. Once the world information is here, you may want to choose locations relevent to your backstory and integrate your character into the world. if you need any help, feel free to dm me.
The game is planned to start this thursday, but if anyone needs for time, just tell me.
Other than that, feel free to introduce yourselves down below, and I'll speak to you soon!
Greetings, I am Krivoirog Rog. One could say I am a fantasy fanatic, having been one since my fist game. I love playing devious characters who love TREASURE!
Been at it for a long time, playing in the cracks of time.
OOC: I’ve not played D&D in decades but eager to come back. Relearning the rules and all but I’ve never fully been away from roleplay even if just making stories in my head...
Gorm Diabhal will be hanging around the edges of whatever the gathering area is, not hiding but trying not to draw attention to himself. He’s lived his life cloistered In a monastery training and meditating. He knows he is different than most, just doesn’t know if, why or how people will react or care... So for now the male Tiefling with pure white skin and bright blue hair is keeping his hood up and a little bit of distance.

We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.
i dont get to play that much (forever dm) so im all that more exited to start this.
When i apply for a pbp game i always try to come up with a new concept for a character but always end up with a wizard of some kind, be it full or multiclass.
Hi, I'm Rylentlar, I've been playing RPGs for over 20 years now, I've brought along Therg, a brutish, bruiser of a rogue who at one time was a decorated soldier, but is having trouble coping with civilian life and has started getting into trouble.
In this adventure i will play the role of Eli Farce, a once famous writer who wants to rebuild his brand. He will document the settlements story in his new book. His dabbling in libraries has given him insights in the arcane arts. So armed with quill and spellbook he is ready for whatever Blackrock brings.
Hi, I'm Delta. I've been playing 5e for 2 years and love pbp; I also am a mod for a discord server for DND pbp games. My character is Kierro, a cleric of Lathander (or the relevant pantheon's sun god if that works better) who has jumped at the chance to keep the settlers safe and protected as they build. He is a healer and a ranged spellcaster.
Hi everyone! Here is the basic world info, including every settlement, the leaders of countries, and the rarity of races. All races that are not listed are assumed to be incredibly rare, only known to the most knowledgable of scholers.
Spenk: Spenk is the southern most of the mapped free state villages, and the only one with it's own fortress. The Fortress is manned by a private militia hired by the mayor, to protect the town from threats. Because of this, spenk is known to be the safest place in the land of the free, and home to some of the richest in the nation. It has a tavern, a general merchant, a blacksmith, a market square, and enough houses to shelter 100 people.
Cradon is the only town on the isle of sintalico, and is known as the theifs haven. It is a town shadowed by tall wooden buildings and dark alleyways slither there way through it. To the unprepared, it could prove most perilous, especially during the night. The mayor of cradon is rarely seen, and little is known about him other than his appointed by the emperor himself.
Benjin is a moderately sized village, connecting many key location on sintalico. It provides a moderate amount of food for strimeer, benjin, and fort hereaf.
Fort Hereaf is a large fortress-town erected as a first defense against invasions from Oirelin. It has been a good deterrent, as no invasions have been attempted since it was built.
Hambarh: Hambarh is known as the most relaxing place in the continent, some call it peaceful, some call it boring, but all can agree that it's the best place for a holiday. The Villages is composed of a few
dozen houses, a tavern, a general store, and enough fields to feed hundreds.
Mythsynberg (Can't remember): Despite being only mapped village on the freeland coast, most people tend to ignore it's existence, due to it's very difficult to pronounce name. Because of this, the village is very isolated, and most people you ask will have never been there. The Population tends to fluctuate often, but is usual around 5- 10 people. Since most of them eventually get tired of the isolation, while outsiders occasional crave it. Most of the buildings are out of use, but the occupants all ways keep the general store open.
Alfinc'e is a small village south of cradon. Little is known to outsiders as very few travelers visit the village, but it has a reputation for being aggressive and xenophobic, though nobody knows where these rumors started.
Rimmerston is the capital of the maudian queendom. It's most famous for being the one and only port on the continent of Oirelin, as well as the bustling trade market due to it's favorouble position, nestled between everywhere else.
Catharnos is the capital of the mineerin dukedom, and home to duke Onseus the second. It's best knows for having the largest fighting pit in the known world, known as the calif-midal.
Rinshard is the capital of Selhqi. It's most famous for housing the rinshard college of the magical arts, a large complex dedicated to the training of all magical gifts. Rinshard also houses the most extravagent palace in all of the knows land.
Strimeer is the capital of the free thayaxian empire. It's known best for it's unruly population and lackluster law enforcement.
Minnuesi is the northem most village of Oirelin, and part of the mineerin dukedom. It is owned by sir zidra ordesius alongside the Minn keep, where he resides. It's trade lies in mining, as it lies right next to an abundant mountain.
Fort Oustahime is a large fortress, and the home of lord arthun of the maudian queendom. It governs over both nagus and ghinehir.
Ghinehir is a large trade town that has changed hands many times. Originally the primary source of catharnos's trade, it was taken by maudia. Since then, a bloody war has been raging.
Nagus is a small farming village lieing between rimmerston and ghinehir. It is the primary food source to rimmerston and most of it's population are farmers.
Barosa was once a proud farming village. The people were happy and fulfilled as they harvested the large and bountiful fields, providing ng the rest of mineeria with food. In recent months, it was razed by the maudians as retaliation for a recent attack on ghinhir. Though no civilians were harmed, it was a great loss for mineera and the people are not happy.
Ironhead is the name for both the village and the fortress, which exist to provide for leroe, and are pretty mundane.
Leroe has the appearance of a fortress from the outside, but inside is a bustling city. It is better guarded than rimmerston itself, and is hope to the most skilled artisans in all of maude. It has little contact with the outside world, but is widely believed to be a place of great scientific and magical discovery. Most information is kept quiet by order of the queen.
Dunn is arguably the most economically succesful village there is. It is full of prospering buisnesses, and is a popular place for rich tradesmen to retire. Although the bustling market can make living difficult for the poor, the town has no shortage of charity. There are a number of inns that give free lodging and a fund is kept in the lords hall, availble to all who are in need.
Apoflise is a large farming village. The warm climate makes it a popular place during the winter, and many inns have been erected than only open for a few months each year.
Sitilfae is a large fortress name after it's governing lord, Alberich Siltifae. It governs over the small village of rimsbi, which is wholly un-noteworthy.
The Maudian queendom is rules by queen ornelia. She is a strict ruler, but beloved by the people. She has two sons, claude, and Eric. Claude is a genrel in her army, while eric simply lives in the castle.
The Thayaxian empire is ruled by a man name Gobius. Ruled is a strong word in this case, as the thayaxians pride themselves on their semi-anarchistic society. Though Gobius does have an army, he only uses it to enforce law in the capital, and to deal with large threats elswhere in the empire. He is known to be quite lazy, and very frivolent with his money. Since he sparsely meddles in the lives of others, the people do the same with his.
The mineeran dukedom is rules by Onseus the second. He is a young man, only 27 years of age, having only taken over from his father, onseus the first, 3 years ago after his passing. Some blame his poor leadership for what happened to Barosa.
Selqhi is ruled by two brothers, the princes of Selqhi. They are stone faced rulers who rarely speak in public. Although they are somewhat secretive, Selqhi has been prospering in the 5 years since they took over from their mother, queen regent Agatha, so the people celebrate them none-the-less.
Races
Elves are very integrated with the human society's, and fit in well all though they are in the minority. Some elves band together and forms tribes in the woods, often devout worshipers of their gods and nature itself. They make around 16% of the population, and another 7% if you include half-elves.
Dwarves are a well respected race, although often joked about. They make up around 21% of the population, though many more reside in the northern mountains, their homeland.
Halflings and gnomes have lived along side humans for millenia, and are very rarely discriminated against. Halflings make up about 14% of the population, while gnomes make up only 8%
The few dragon born who reside here either are, or are descended from, travellers from off lands, primarily to the east. They are seen as very exotic and are usually met with either fear or fascination. They make up 2% of the population.
While tieflings make up a very small part of the population, they have been quite prominent throught history, and as such are not seen as particulary exotic or rare, though they are still often met with fear and suspicion due to their devil blood and the fact that most prominent tieflings in history are known for their evil acts, often rising to power using dark magics. They make up 1% of the population.
Orcs are an aggressive warrior race, living in the deserts to the far south below the solsisian alliance. When they mate with a another humanoid race, a half orc is the result. Whether they choose to live with the more civilised races, or with their full-orc brethren, half orcs will find themselves treated as outsiders, being ostriciced for being half orcish, or for not being pure-blooded. They make up 9% of the population.
Humans need no introduction. They have been the dominant race for as long as history remembers. They are well known by the other races for their versatility and variety of different beliefs. They make up the remaining percentages.
p.s we will be using the forgotten realms pantheon.
Kierro will be from the village of Benjin, being a cleric of the Sun God Lathander and the apprentice of the town's priest. He will have received a vision/dream of heading to the unsettled island from Chayliel (see pms) and will have headed to help the settlers with haste.
Gorm Diabhal will have been born in Cradon but quickly abandoned and raised in a monastery... somewhere nearby. Gorm has recently left the monastery to follow rumors of a girl of a similar description to himself, though supposedly of a noble bearing, who had passed by recently and supposedly traveling on to Fort Hereaf. Is there a connection of some kind? There's no was to tell but to follow the gossip...

We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.
KHalin Gool might have been raised in Leroe, after all he kind of looks and smells like the wizard type, but he does not reveal his origins or upbringing in casual conversation. He seems to be strictly business, at least at the moment. He does enjoy discussing how to harvest the brains and other innards of critters that are useful in making potions. He will always ask after knowledge of any kind. He has spent a lot time traveling looking for knowledge, trading his skills for it where ever he can find any that seem worth it.
So I'm the late comer to the party. Mostly because I'm from Australia and this is about the normal time I get to sit and read (and what a lot of info above. Well done, we'll put together). Played 3.5e back in highschool, stopped playing for many years and recently found D&DB so have been able to get back into it. Currently in a few pbp games so I have a handle on tooltips etc and try to use where possible.
Character wise: Aiden von Edgewater IV is somewhat of a flamboyant, debonair, self proclaimed (if you can't tell by his ludicrous last name) noble. Not born into anything, but that hasn't stopped him. Quick with tongue and rapier, he couldn't tell you where he was born and has no fixed address. Usually on the run from the law (or the husband/father of a maiden) he moves around a lot. Last place he called home was Rimmerston, as the trade market had caught his eye.
Oh and just call me Craig, the forum name is a throwback to a character in Guild Wars when I used to have time to play RPGs.
Eli would probably be from Duur, as it seems to be the most fitting for a place with many book stores and librarys. If i misunderstood that, please point me in the right direction
I think Therg would be from Fort Hereaf originally, born and bred soldier till he was injured during drills and forced into retirement. His mind never recovered from that injury and he's a bit simple and slow now.

Howdy. Do our characters know each other prior to the game’s start?
Paladin - warforged - orange
I would assume not, but you may organise that with the others if you'd wish.
Wanted to mention that I will have sparse attendance nights (Pacific time) and weekends.

Hi everyone! Just a head-up, the campaign will be beggining in 3 hours. (3:30 PM GMT) I will post a link to the story thread then.
Khalin Gool is pacing around in circles muttering fragments of dire incantations; the air around him seems to glow with a pale light.
