races/classes: everything from the phb, xgte, volos, mortenkainen

backstory: should contain a reason for your character to be part in a elite military group.
Human variant- Hexblade Pact Of the Chain - Soldier - lawful neutral
Brill was a soldier in Livathian for years. Loved his country, his commander, and his fellow grunts. During one of the many engagements, Brill was wounded, having his sword arm amputated above the elbow. His friends visited when they could, but everyone knew his soldiering days were over.
He was shipped back to the capitol, and given a truly fair shake: they let him clean floors. He couldn’t use a broom, so this meant he was on his knees, everyday, washing by hand.
Brill began having dreams of being in a strange, darkling place. In his dreams, his hand was still there, and he fought with greater strength and skill than ever. When he woke, still no hand... then the dream held a spear. “I don’t need your arm,” it said. It sliced his arm off and stabbed deep into his arm. He woke in a sweat, and at the foot of his bed, a tiny black creature perched. It spoke softly, “I am to serve, and teach.” It crawled up his bed, grabbed hold of his stump and then melted. It molded and shaped its body in horrible ways until it formed a hand. “Let us return to work.”
Brill went to his former commander with this sudden change. No one could deny Brill’s usefulness, but he was too off-putting and no one was entirely sure if he/it was trustworthy. While command tried to work out what to do with him, he trained and learned all he could from Harrow. Until now, as Brill receives orders for a special mission...
He's a dwarven Path of the Zealot Barbarian. He's lawful good and he choose to take up fighting in the war because he had a strange dream which he interpreted as being a divine sign that told him to do so. As a result he stops at nothing to fullfill the in his eyes divine mission.
As you didn't specify how to get the Ability scores I used point buy but I can change it if you prefer another method.
Alac Chott spent his life working the anvil creating weapons and armor for the army. He lived alone but was friendly to everyone. His parents had passed away peacefully long ago. When the war finally came to their lands and ravaged the contryside. He saw first had the destruction it created and decided to join the fight to end the war and save his people.
I did point buy to create the character but can change it.
Sounds like fun. I used point buy, but that can be changed is so desired.
Mephistopheles Tiefling War Mage
Senna Bemont was raised in a prominent port town by a poweful wizard. When she came of age, she joined the local navy as a marine, hunting down pirates and smugglers. During one raid, her ship was attacked, leaving only a handful of survivors. Senna, along with her surviving comrades, secretly boarded the pirate vessel, and sank it by blowing the powder stores. Only Senna survived the explosion. When she eventually returned home, she was hailed a hero, but shuffled away into a magical research division.
Silas, Lizardfolk Assassin. Alignment: Neutral Backstory: Kidnapped and raised as a slave to a Givalonian commander, Silas was liberated by a Livathian warrior and pledged his life to him. He repaid the debt by joining the military and has received special training in stealth and murder.
Backstory: In the dark days of Livathia's need, its officials turn to even the most unlikely of sources to fill its operational needs. Black markets become grey, stolen and smuggled goods sustain the populace while wartime supplies are shipped en-masse to crumbling fronts. Even its prisons become a precious national resource, filled with albeit dubiously loyal experts in the arts of espionage, crime, and illegal activities. Erred is one of these promised specialists. A thief of no small ability, Erred seeks to repay debts to Livathia's courts for his role in an attempted (though failed) robbery of a military supply train. Should he survive, he has been promised limited parole, which, as an alternative to a life sentence in Livathia's dungeons, is more than appealing.
(A note about the Chaotic Neutral. The choice does not indicate that Erred is especially selfish or even particularly chaotic - he simply has no serious patriotic ties to Livathia, and a general disdain for authority. He does, however, respect power. I feel this is a necessary note due to the reputation of Chaotic Neutral as a justification for murder hoboing. I do not plan to live up to this reputation, and will probably seek to debunk it.)
