Many events have occurred in the land of Faerûn, some say that those situations shaped the land to what its former state - wether you like it or not - all fo these events have two things in common, the heroes who risked their lives to restore the order and save as much lives as possible, and the greedy minds that orchestrated everything and almost had it their way.
The brave heroes inspire people of every age and race to better themselves in order to take the spotlight in the next attempt. But what about all those outcasts who rarely find inspiration in the failed attempts of those who tried but died trying to get more power, freedom - based in their personal understanding of what freedom was - and many other selfishly evil goals. What about those who will rise and try to succeed were others couldn't? We'll they usually start small and make their way up, killing and lying.

Backstory (in short): Yuno was a normal town girl until she realized her true passion and calling in life: killing things. So she's a serial killer. Her ambitions aren't lofty. She wants to gain power so that she can do what she wants (which is killing people) without anyone trying to stop her. Don't worry, I can RP this to not be a murderhobo.
Willing to PVP: I don't mind having it and I'm also okay without it. So if everyone is on board, I'll PvP too.
Yuno grew up in the house of a blacksmith and had as normal a life as one could have. She had an older sister who she was quite close with. She had loving parents and a sister who was like a best friend to her. Everything changed however when Yuno turned 13. Yuno's sister went to a nearby forest to get firewood. She was captured by a band of bandits. The city guards were notified and headed out to rescue the blacksmith's eldest daughter. It took a few days of searching before they found the bandit hideout and attacked. The bandits were defeated but it was too late. The guards solemnly brought back the bruised and broken corpse of Yuno's sister back home. As Yuno stared at her dead sister, something awoke in her. She didn't feel sad but rather, was intrigued by the injuries caused. When Yuno thought about the suffering her late sister went through, it made her feel giddy. After that incident, Yuno began occasionally sneaking off into the woods with a dagger. She capture and kill small forest animals like frogs and squirrels. As time passed she slowly moved up to cats, to dogs to monkeys. Yuno often thought what it would be like to kill another humanoid. The urges became too great. Yuno lived on the outskirts of a relatively big town. As is common in most towns, hers had an underbelly filled with the orphans and the homeless. That's where she began her killing. Though she wanted to, she never killed more than one humanoid a month. Because the ones she was killing were neglected by society, she remained relatively unnoticed. Then she thought it would be fun to kill someone in their own home. After the body was discovered, the guard's began searching for the killer but they didn't suspect the sweet, polite and shy 18 year old daughter of the blacksmith. When Yuno claimed her second victim, a guard once showed up at her house to warn them of the serial killer. Yuno's mother was out shopping for groceries and Yuno's father was out in the woods. Yuno served the guard ale and offered to dance for him. The inebriated guard enjoyed the swords dance... until Yuno spun around and sliced the guard's throat open. She then took the guards armor and dressed him in her sister's old clothes. Then she packed her things and waited. When her parents returned she killed them both and set fire to the house before fleeing town.
Raekwon Snowstrider was a prisoner at an elf encampment after a failed Hobgoblin raid. Raekwon was in captivity and tortured for information for what seemed like a lifetime. H never broke. What he did do is study the elves and used their own fighting styles against them. He stole a double bladed scimitar and used bladesinging techniques to escape the encampment after cutting many of the elves down... (wip)
Called "Twitcheye" on account of a twitchy eye, Larry is a Death Cleric of the Darklord*. Who is the Darklord? Why, you should NEVER say his name out loud. You can only whisper it, and at most 3X per day. Say it aloud and he might show up.
Bonds
The "nice guys" saved me from a life on the streets. They taught me the way of the Dreadlord. So, they were a little tough. It was for my own good. I didn't need two ears anyway.
Flaws
He thinks the Darkone is misunderstood and is good. By only sacrificing evil beings to the Dark Lord he makes the world a better place. However he continually finds out that most beings are at least a little evil. Everyone has some sin that needs cleansing in the darklord's fire.
Backstory: Cecilia always was a rather difficult child to keep quiet, it did not help that she was always getting what she wanted. Now that one time she got grounded for stealing at the candy shop, she was furious. She tried to make vodoo dolls of her parants in seek of revenge. A devil from the nine hells discovered her doing and saw chance for a dealing. He offered help in turn of her helping him in the future. She accepted the offer, resulting in a bloody end for cecilias parents. Cecilia is now 14, and not a kind kid as you might imagine. Spoiled through her magical abilities she allows herself to do whatever pleases her.

Erriviel had always tried his best to live under the constricting standards of Drow society, but was often considered... overambitious. His downfall came about when he brought himself and 3 warriors on an unapproved night raid on a small village.
The moon was full that night and members of the cult of Eilistraee happened to be meeting in the village. Erriviel thought to win himself glory back home by bringing the head of the priestess with him, but was foiled by the goddess’s magic, which cast him into a deep sleep for over a week.
When he awoke, he knew that his family had marked him dead or a deserter, and that he would be killed on sight if he tried to return. Eventually, he found his way to a thieves’ guild where he took up occupation as a torturer, in charge of breaking in new slaves.
One of his projects turned out to be an ancient night hag in disguise, one who had been watching him for some time. She offered him power, the power to take vengeance on Eilistraee and destroy those who had caused him to be cast out of his home.
The price? Nothing, nothing but the death of the goddess herself. A perfect deal.
Nim is a Kobold Rogue, probably will end up assassin.
Background: Criminal
Backstory: Nim started out like most Kobolds. With a clan working for a dragon. This amused him for a while, he got to protect the noble dragon from attacks from these horrible 'heroes' and allow the dragon to continue to invite terror and grow in fame. But one day this stopped being enough. If a mighty dragon can become so well known then so can a small Nim. The dragon must have been small to start with right? This led Nim to leave his clan and head out to make a name for himself. Naturally, Kobolds work well when not alone so he hoped to find people who were similarly alligned.
PbP?: Only if it fits the story. I don't agree with PvP for "But I'm evil" or "I want that loot" as at that point it stops being a campaign and becomes PvP arena
Raised by his elven mother from birth, Xolan was a quiet, intelligent child. Displaying an affinity for magic from a young age, he was groomed to join the ranks of the druids that his elven village was known for. Unfortunately, calamity struck the village before his training began and most of the elves were killed by a terrible disease that their magic or herbs could not cure. Xolan was saved only by his human side. His mother was one of the casualties, so he was sent to live with his human father. However, his human father was already well into his 60s and died from old age shortly after Xolan arrived. Now orphaned, Xolan turned away from civilization and vowed to find a way to never be affected by disease or old age like his parents. He began to take books from libraries and stores, studying magical means to make himself live forever. Soon, he found passages on liches. He was so intrigued he found every scrap of information he could and sequestered himself for years studying it. He believes he has found the secret, and now has begun his quest. He will stop at nothing to gain power and complete the transformation.
Willing to PvP? If someone were to stand in the way of his ambition, Xolan has no issue taking him out.
Alexander Silvertongue was gifted to a family of the minor nobility as a baby. He was taught a rigorous moral code and exposed to the inner workings of the upper echelons of society. He also showed amazing prowess as a warrior. He grew to be a Holy Anointed Guardian of a young prince, heir to a small throne. The young prince was a monster, capable of the worst cruelties, uncaring for the well being of his people. Upon the death of the King, Alexander made a choice, slaying the prince just before his coronation. His act was one of desperation, but fueled of of what he thought was right. Fleeing the kingdom, Xander made his way across the land. He saw himself as a knight errant, doing good for all. So he took a few pragmatic shortcuts. So he used the tools of bullies and villians against them. Eventually, after running afoul of good men serving a corrupt king, he realized that the only way to bring lasting change for good would involve a trail of conquest and destruction. He might be damned, but his legacy could be one of peace. Xander now wanders the world, trying to gain power and understanding to fulfill his ultimate destiny. He still tries to save a damsel or two to convince himself he is still good, but his pragmatism grows and he realizes his path forward involves gold. And working for gold is gonna be a dirty business.
(I have 2 ideas for a character, but they follow the same backstory and concept, the only difference is race and class. The other one is Yuan-Ti pureblood bard , I can pick whichever is more suitable for the party, with minor tweaks in the backstory)
Name: Kexxis
Race: Goblin
Class: Rogue
Background: Criminal
Backstor: Kexxis was involved in multiple raids and hunts to human villages with his goblin clan, as one does. Although, some problems came to be between him and others. They all said there was something wrong with him. They all did not like the outbreaks of his bueatiful sadistic mind, of peerless skill in gaining information from those humans, in earning more locations of farther villages. He was ultimately banished and being the misfit that he is, he wandered and learned to survive until he reached a city, where he got intertwined with criminal gangs on the street, where he totured for them and earned a living off of it. Those times were great for him. He learned of new tools and of steel weapons, of more detailed anotomy, but most of all: daggers. Oh he loved daggers. He could cut, pierce, bludgeon, tickle, burn... everything really and with one simple tool. But he still was a goblin and goblins are not welcome for the most. They ganged up on him when he was walking for another torture, he was left in a pool of bloody mud, outside the city gates. His wounds infected, his head ringing in bells of hatred. That was the point when Kexxis became the seldom outbreak and the sadist within took over. The first thing that his shaking gaze came upon was his old torture dagger, fallen from its hiding place beneath his clothes, ready to be picked up.
I don’t mind PvP.
The idea with the Yuan-Ti Bard is also a torturer but a more psychological one, rather than physical, and with different backstory. If it interests you I can write that out too.
Some stories tell of the demise of the clan Emberdark in the aftermath of the battle of Skelkor Pass. The tales say that Emberdark's raids threatened trade relations between the Dragon Empires of Fimbrul and Relmaur, and that the armies of Relmaur eventually pursued the feral clan to the edge of their borders, before catching them in the teeth of a terrible storm. The legends honor the noble dead who struck down Emberdark, tooth, scale and egg.
But the stories lie.
Not all of the clan Emberdark died at the battle of Skelkor Pass. When armies of Relmaur passed over, a shattered few pulled themselves from the piles of frozen dead and praised the ancestors with one last ritualistic mortal combat. When the red snow was at last stilled, they took their leave, breaking their bond as clan and kin until a prophesied day when the great Dragon Empires should wither beneath the Mighty Flame, a chosen messiah of destruction who would lead all fallen clans on a righteous crusade.
Artaxes doesn't know if he is this messiah. In fact, he doesn't care. But he feels the hot fire of battlerage in his stomach, and he knows the awesome power in his iron grip. If given the chance, he would break the mighty walls of the Dragon cities, and plunder their legendary wealth. But, for now, he wants some roast beef, a deep mug of ale, and some rowdy streets to thoroughly carouse.
Willing to PvP - Yes, though I must admit to OOC hesitations.
Backstory: The last of the sut-scale tribe, Thrash faight his way out of the slaughter that claimed the rest of his village. Since then the lizardfolk has taken what he needs from those that are weaker than himself or teamed up with others long enough to tackle bigger enemies. The world is nothing but predators and prey in the eyes of the charcoal scaled lizardfolk. Wielding a shield and vicious war pick crafted by himself from the bones of a fallen foes... Thrash continues to search for larger game...
Willing to PvP : maybe.. if it is for good RP and a good reason.. sure, but if someone is fighting over ten gold then that is dumb
Backstory: Most kobolds clans stick to the outskirts of towns and in the wastelands. The Urktal Clan has other ideas. Living in the sewers, picking off what they could take from the people above. Hiding in the shadows. Worshipping the great dragon Throdak. Although we worked in unison to bring glory to our Dragon Lord, it’s was a competition, always. Who would reign supreme? Who would lead us into glorious bliss under the rage of Throdak? Who would sow the benefits and delicious scraps from the best trash piles? Drak became too successful, too much loved by Throdak himself. Painted a target on my back I did. Cast out by the clan and Throdak didn’t even intercede! How could he be so foolish? I will make my own clan, not just kobolds but those that are stronger and decimate the Urktal. That will show Throdak who is mighty indeed. First things first, I need a clan...
(end goal is to eliminate his old clan, but he knows he needs new people and to get stronger first. He’ll be a team player)
Willing to PvP?: only if it’s essential to the story. I don’t appreciate evil shenanigans and having to defend myself from my party cause we’re evil.

Name: Drak Flintstone
Race: kobold
Class: Sorceror
