Name: Flaeirn
Class/Race:Air Genasi/Sorcerer
Brief Backstory w/Harper Connection: Flaeirn lived an hour or so out of the main Waterdeep. He mainly worked on doing religious services and helping to deal with the odd creatures and such that he found, helping to keep them away from Waterdeep and making a good relationship with the local guardship from it. Through this is how he met the Harpers, mainly giving them info about the suspicious things he may find, or occasionally even helping them on a mission when greatly needed.
Breif backstory: Growing up my family had connections to the harpers, I was never exactly sure what he did there but he would leave for long periods of time. As I got older I took an oath to help protect my town. Eventually I was called into service by the harpers to help with an effort of which I did not know. However in an attempt to live up to my fathers expectations I set off to meet them at the location I was called to.
Brief Backstory w/Harper Connection: Raised by a party of adventurers, Trail is no stranger to the call. The eccentric tabaxi druid was drawn to the Harpers because of their belief that no one should be powerless - something Trail was taught early, and has lived by ever since. He has been an agent for years, working on his own for the most part, though he never says no to partnering up with other Harper agents. When the call for aid comes, Trail is only too happy to answer it.
Backstory Orphaned at a young age, Vedui was taken in by the Order of the Long Death monestary in Thay. There he studied death and all it's forms, and began a search for the "Perfect Death". However, Vedui soon learned that the Order was not what he wanted. Cruel and inhumane in their treatment of others and often torturing captured humanoids, this turned Vedui's stomach, and he sought escape. The final straw came when he and two others of his order came upon some traveling merchants. After purchasing some items and talking with them, Vedui turned to leave, only to find that the other members of his order decided that some study of death was due, and they slew the traders with bare hands, even to the point of choking out a young child. Vedui stared in horror....He told the members of the order...he was done....No more. They gave him 24 hours and told him he was a hunted man and they would enjoy learning from his death.... He traveled west hiding his secret and dodging assasins from the monestary...coming to Waterdeep eventually and coming to the attention of the Harpers. He has begun to work for them, and a few of the Harpers know his secret. He has a crude brand burnt into his chest and back in the shape of a skull representing the order that he hides from view...
Brief Backstory w/Harper Connection: Recruited by the Harpers as a scout in the Dalelands where they were originally working as a Forester for the Cormyrian court. Over the last few years they have been as far north as Luskan and as far south as Murann. They aren't the innocent they once were and the weight of the lives they have taken is starting to tell but the scales are still in balance as near as they can tell....and they still send half their pay home to their parents.....though they are sure they would be a stranger to them now.
Name: Alden Lostchild Class: (If allowed multiclass Rogue/Wizard if not straight Rogue) Half-Elf Ability scores: 12910141312 Backstory: Alden had been part of the Watch of Waterdeep for a couple years and eventually set out on his own as a private investigator. A few months ago he uncovered a plot by a mad druid living in the sewers of the City of Splendors to use the rats to overthrow the Masked Lords. During the investigation and battle he worked with the Harpers, namely a human female druid named Tree, and they brought down the mad druid and ruined his plans. Tree gave Alden a little pendant and told him she'd like to call on his help from time to time. Alden agreed as long as it was to aid in the defense of the City of Splendors.
Backstory: Thechar had a rough childhood, as most Tieflings have. He saw the animosity towards him, and channeled it into a force for him to help the world understand him better, not fear him. He practiced the performing arts, learning to sing, dance, and tell stories with flare. He has traveled Faerun and learned many things, things he would exchange with the Harpers for safety. His only goal is to show everyone in the world that they are all equals, and that no one should be feared or hated.

Here is Coal! I'm pretty excited about him, and I hope to play with you all!
Ability scores: 121614171417
Name - Coal Amcathra
Class - Artificer (Artillerist)
Race - Fire Genasi
Ability Scores (Post ASI and Race Bonuses) - STR 14, DEX 17, CON 18, INT 20, WIS 12, CHA 14
Brief Backstory w/Harper Connection - Even though Coal was obviously of unknown parentage, a childless older couple of the Amcathra family fell in love with him when they found them at the doorstep of the apartment they'd rented while on travel. That immediate connection and the fact that the Amcathra consider Fire Genasi good luck helped persuade the Amcathra's to adopt Coal. They raised him as their own, insisting that the rest of the family treat him the same way. Over time, Coal focused his studies on crafting, attempting to build magical weaponry which would bring honor to his family and help him earn the place that had been bestowed upon him. Too smart for his own good, and a bit of a pompous creature, he nonetheless has a heart for the commoners. He recognizes that if not for the stroke of luck of his adoption as an infant, he would have likely been among them. Thus, he works with the Harpers as an agent within the Nobility and in Academia, seeking to root out any corruption or gathering of too much power among his peers.
Name: Yaw Shua Class: Wizard (order of the scribes) Ability scores: 121616111412 Brief Backstory w/Harper Connection:
Yaw is most often a handler for Harper agents, putting their natural talent for documentation and cryptography to work. They only recently got drafted into being an agent when word of the cult started resurging and there was desperate need for boots on the ground.
Backstory-w-Harper connection: after Onak left his tribe he ended up in Waterdeep. While there he joined the Military. While in service he met a Harper agent that he became friends with. Nearing the end of his allotted time in the service his friend came to him with a job offer and a new mission.
Backstory: Phalse grew up on the streets of Luskan a discarded child of a dalliance between a human lady of the evening and a passing elven sailor. He grew up amongst the other street children and was looked after by Momma Dun. Momma met the kids basic needs such as shelter, clothing, and food. In return she turned them into baggers, spies, and thieves behind her front of an orphanage. Phalse was a capable and wise child beyond his years. He led several of the children in a revolt versus Momma Dun. This resulted to the burning of the orphanage and the surviving children being press ganged into serving on ships. Momma Dun escaped and Phalse was left for dead. He was rescued by a bard that had helped him organize the children, Simon Songblade. Simon found Phalse and nursed him back to health. Simon explained he was Harper on his first mission. His elder companion had died of natural causes upon arrival and he took it upon himself to thwart Momma's organization. Simon recruited Phalse to the Harper cause while he recovered from his ordeal. Phalse is a reluctant Harper agent, he recognizes the need for the Harper's and supports their mission; but his own first experience left him jaded.
As he recovered he was visited by a Deva, Magnes, in service to Lathander. Magnes saw the dashed hope for a new beginning for Phalse and the children he tried to save. Magnes offered hope in finding his lost companions and a means of doing so. He became his patron and invested a portion of his power within Phalse. Phalse now serves as a light in the shadows, a beacon of hope in the long night. He searches for the other lost children in his travels. So far he has found three of his childhood companions.
