Your patron, Anaxi Zephries, known affectionately as “the Cartophile,” has another job for you. Your last expedition secured him a journal that he had been seeking for years. The Cartophile has collected documents, maps, stories and rumors about the lost expedition of the famed scholar Kwalish for his entire life. With the information from the newly acquired journal he believes he has found the last known location of that expedition. He’s hired you to go find it.
I’m looking for 4 or 5 active role players. The game will mostly be played between 8am and 5pm Pacific time, M-F. Please only apply if you can post at least once or twice a day in that time frame. I’ll make decisions and get things started on or around Monday the 18th.

Sparks works as a thief and infiltrator for a criminal faction in Neverwinter. He uses his magic to get in and out of places where many thieves cannot go.
Gotch is a sage that works in one of the libraries in waterdeep. He had to prove himself to be allowed to work with the books, but has become a fixture there over time.
backstory: Thorin entered the Temple of Moradin at a young age. He first was trained working at the forge - learning the craft of Smithing. It wasn't long before the Priests noticed his ability to help those injured doing such a dangerous job. The priests decided to help him hone his gift of healing that Moradin blessed him with. One night during his evening prayers a voice told him it was time to leave the Temple and show the world the powers of Moradin. After recieving the blessings from the Elders he left the Temple and shortly after he met up his current group working for the Cartophile.

De’ran left the shelter of the High Forest to travel the larger towns and cities. On his way to Neverwinter, made friends with an adventurer named Rezena Esstyrlynn who brought him into the employ of Anaxi Zephries and has been working with him ever since with the promise of constant adventure and seeing the world

When it was uncovered that his father was involved in and funded a cult-like criminal organization under the guise of charity and spreading the will of Pelor, he abandoned his old family name and adopted the new name he holds now: Aerin Blackthorn. Being noticed by others along his journeys, he traveled further and further away until tales of his family and the reaches of their influence were far behind him. He lives now modestly, taking on bounties and local jobs from small villages, eventually joining a group in Cartophile that worked well together and earned him the coin to continue his life away from home. (Have more if needed, but can save the juice for later)

He swore to himself he would do all that he could to make people feel these emotions and as if they could conquer their enemies through his trade. He feels a desperate need to create a saga that no one has ever heard before, about heroes no one knows about. He is hoping his time with adventurers of Cartophile will see him to that goal.
Backstory: Khorzik abandoned the warlike ways of his hobgoblin tribe to study his true passion - alchemy. Constant searching for rare and illegal substances led him to a life of smuggling. When he attracted too much attention by the authorities, he abandoned the smuggler's lifestyle for that of an adventurer. He hopes to find Kwalish's Laboratory and learn its secrets.

Backstory: Kandor comes from a remote section of the world where the Feywilde and the Material planes overlap often. Originally his clan we set at the guardians of that boarder and became exceptionally proficient at the job. When Kandor came across his first firearm he was enamored by the power of the technology. But the weapon was seen as an abomination of true martial skill and therefore considered forbidden. Kandor couldn't give it up and left his homeland. He works as a mercenary and bounty hunter, still sending back money and provisions to his clan to earn back some honor from his abandonment and in hopes of one day returning so that they may become stronger for it. He has done jobs off and on for the Cartophile for some time and is seen as ruthless and efficient in his pursuits.

While growing up, he learned the ways of his family and even managed to master his wildshape skills.However, he wanted to set out and explore the world around him. In these explorations, his Druid skills gave him an advantage in survival. He learned to wield a blade and a bow through the various adventurers with which he traveled.Elias finds himself at home in the woods, and is passionate about maintaining the natural balance of the world.
Harbek is something of a rebel (by Dwarvish standards). As a you g Dwarf learning the trade of masonry, he felt the touch of the divine... bahamut himself spoke to Harbek saying “look up. You could be more.” Since then, Harbek swore that he would Be More. For himself, his neighbors, friends and all dwarves. That no Dwarf was bound to his station, he could always rise above it. Many dwarves find him a radical, and malcontent. He is not precisely welcome in certain parts, so he travels a lot, doing what he can to help anyone he can.

Veggir was always wary of new people but The Cartophile treated Veggir with such respect that he felt happy to help him out and work with the group, and they seemed alright too.

He has developed a taste for strong drink during his time in civilization.
