The promises of glory and the chance of riches draws you to Blasingdell, a small village near the infamous Stone Tooth. Within the rocky mountain lay the dwarven stronghold Khundrukar and the fabled Forge of Fury, to which a chance encounter provides you with the location of a hither-to unknown entrance. Are you brave enough to explore this mystery? Will it lead you to wealth or to your doom? Level 1 Characters.
I am full for this adventure.
I am not on during the nights or weekends, this is a M-F day time play
Xalkas grew up like most gnomes, in the comforting and welcoming home of his loving parents. His parents both worked in a small toy shop, which was their own, and were wanting Xalkas to take over the family business one day. But Xalkas, as most gnomes are, was very curious growing up and he soon realized he was able to make things happen around him simply by thinking it.
His parents quickly realized that he had an affinity for magic and that he must be sent off to be a wizards apprentice.
He left his parents when he reached the age of 25 to go apprentice to the great renowned wizard, Mad Wizard of Wine, where he spent the next 15 years learning from him gaining mastery over his abilities. It was during this time that Xalkas felt like he was destined for something more and wanted to travel and see more of the world around him.
Hearing stories about the Forge of Fury and the wondrous riches of the Dwarven city of Khundrukar he signed up to help guard a caravan on its way from Neverwinter to Blasingdell. Along the way the caravan gets attacked and destroyed by filthy, nasty kobolds. Miraculously, Xalkas was the sole survivor of the expedition, and is now determined to exact revenge for this attack and make sure it doesn’t happen to others.
Continuing on his journey alone to Blasingdell, stops along the side of the road to rest and check his map.
A voice from behind, wizened and warm. It trickles on the wind as a stream on pebbles.
"I saw the smoke, thought to offer my help - if it is needed. My name is Irilu."
Irilu's deep marine eyes sparkle as the sunlight catches on the gold flecks of her irises. She is tall and lithe, sagely and gentle. A moon elf far from home, she is dressed in the simple but well-made robes of a wizard. Her shoes are muddy and worn-in, and her thick travelling cloak and sizeable backpack imply she has wandered for some time.
Xalkas, jumps at the sound of this strange voice, rising to his full height of 3’ 4”, trying to appear tough.
“Aye, I am alone now. I wasn’t able to protect the caravan I was supposed to be guarding and the damn creatures have run off.” - He answers cautiously his bright green eyes meeting her gaze and a slight breeze rustles his black and slightly unkempt hair.
Being a bit awkward in social settings, he continues, “Why would you coming running toward danger anyway?” Xalkas eyes the new comer wearily, eagerly awaiting her reply.
A small, brown hare scampers out of a nearby bush, its dark eyes taking in both travellers as it raises itself up on its hind legs, whiskers twitching. At the mention of danger, the mouse grows and changes shape, with the end result being a large dwarf sporting an impressive copper-coloured beard, his moustache turning into two long braids as it descends his face.
He sits down heavily on a nearby log with a grunt, and proceeds to procure a pipe from a pocket within his dirty leather jerkin. Filling it with a pinch of tiny leaves, he snaps his fingers over it, producing a flame on the end of his finger, which he then lights his pipe with. The dwarf takes a few long puffs, and finally addresses those present.
"Danger's back the other way", the dwarf says, pointing with his pipe in the direction of the attack. "You must have been running pretty hard, gnome, if you didn't notice others escaping. Either way, we're safe now. The kobolds gave up chasing the tiefling when they realised their legs weren't long enough to keep up! Hah!" The dwarf looks pleased with himself, as if he had told a favourite joke. "She should be along shortly..."
Thorrick has wildshape here as a one-time thing (until he gets it properly) for RP purposes.
Heavy, rain-soaked clouds move quickly across the sky— scattering fat drops of rain as they scurry by. Crashes of thunder and flashes of lightning send eerie shadows dancing around your camp—doing little to make your stop here comfortable
Irilu and Xalkas will be suprised in this first round of combat as you two have been seen by a flying winged kobold, and a scout. Thorrick is the only one who can move or fight in the first round of initiative. I need you all to give me an initiative roll please.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thorrick notice the flying kobold out of the corner of his eye, just too late to stop it from throwing something at Xalkas.
"Brace yourselves, these blasted kobolds have followed us!"
The dwarf again snaps his fingers, a ball of flame igniting in the palm of his hand. Squinting with one eye closed, he throws it in the direction of the flying assailant.
Attack: 15
Damage: 6 fire damage

Any one have a passive wisdom lower than 13?
10 for perception
12 for insight
could I make a perception roll?
I checked the others character sheets
irilu is 12 for both
Thorrick is 15 and 13 respectively.
Irilu and Xalkas will be suprised in this first round of combat as you two have been seen by a flying winged kobold, and a scout. Thorrick is the only one who can move or fight in the first round of initiative. I need you all to give me an initiative roll please.
Winged K- 13
Scout- 1
Initiative: 18
What a terrible roll ugh
Initiative 4
Initiative 14
The winged kobolt will take its turn on Xalkas with disadvantage but had advantage with the surprise element so it is just a regular attack
Ranged Weapon Attack: 1+5 to hit, one target directly below the kobold. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
He missed
Thorricks turn
If that’s a total of 6 to hit that misses
Ac is 11. Also I was typing this when you were posting the result. Sorry.
That is what I put earlier
Thorrick notice the flying kobold out of the corner of his eye, just too late to stop it from throwing something at Xalkas.
"Brace yourselves, these blasted kobolds have followed us!"
The dwarf again snaps his fingers, a ball of flame igniting in the palm of his hand. Squinting with one eye closed, he throws it in the direction of the flying assailant.
Attack: 15
Damage: 6 fire damage
