Hello! Nice to meet you, I'm potatocrown and I'm looking to run a PbP game of The Lost Mines of Phandelver in Discord. I’m a new DM, only having DMed a text based oneshot before, but I’ve been playing D&D 5e for around a year and a half and would like to believe my knowledge is adequate enough for me to DM.
Players of all sorts of experience are welcome so please don't hesitate to apply even if you've never played before!
We'll be starting the game with everyone having been recruited in a tavern, by a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker, to escort his supplies to a small town called Phandalin. He and his companion, a human named Sildar Hallwinter, have left earlier to deal with some business first.
Characters:
- Level 2 characters. Because Level 1 is synonymous with death.
- Pretty much anything will be allowed but if you want to use homebrew, then please send me a link or document so I can read and approve it.
- Point buy for Stats
- Take average health.
- No evil characters.
Players:
- You know the drill. No min-maxers, no rule lawyers, no murder hobos, no edgelords.
- Looking for 3-4 players only as I’m still a new DM and, in PbP, the more players you have the longer people will be sitting around waiting for everyone to respond.
- As this is a discord based PbP, the pace will be a lot faster than forum based PbPs so I’m looking for very active players that can post multiple times a day.
- I’m in timezone AEST/GMT+10 and will be looking for players around that time so that no one wakes up from a good night’s sleep and find that they’ve missed 8 hours of content.
Please send me a PM using the following format if you're interested:
