The Sword Coast is in chaos. Thousands of refugees flood the major cities, as dragon attacks have increased sharply all throughout the land. The Cult of Dragons has grown in power, and their ultimate plans have entered the final phases. Agents of the different factions have done what they can to slow the cult's schemes, but what they need now are heroes. Heroes that have risen above the normal mercenaries and sell-swords, that have established themselves and made their names. You are one of these heroes, and you have been invited to a special Council of Waterdeep to take a larger part in the defense of Faerun.
This campaign will take us through Rise of Tiamat. No prior knowledge of it or Hoard of the Dragon Queen is required. Only apply if you have the time and inclination to post at least a couple of times a day, and to see this through to the end. Please PM me applications, requirements are below:
Begin at level 8. You may choose 2 uncommon magic items. No Eberron, Ravnica, or Homebrew, unless you can convince me otherwise. Don't count on it, though. Your backstory shouldn't be a book, but it should cover what you did that brought you to level 8 and got you those magic items. For your ability scores, you can reroll 1s or use point buy.

Backstory: Enmoirn is from a very far off land, His clan was of the magically gifted, whether Clerics, Wizards, Druids and more simply focused on just supporting themselves through and being happy. That was when the dragons started to attack his people and him along with others had to flee and eventually he was separated by the circumstances and found his way to the more populated areas and seeing as he was unable to do much to find his people he decided to help other families keeping watch on the dragons and helping families escape their paths and get into the care of others. Whilst helping those he found and helped out to move a while library with all its books and other artifacts and after helping them they gave him a robe of useful items and help of understanding languages stating it would help out to bring others to safety. He did this for a long time until he was contacted by The Council Of Faerun, honored he gave a few people he had befriended his best wishes leaving them to continue their work ready to finally take this threat head on.
You arrive at the gates of Waterdeep as the day draws to a close. Golden rays of sun cast deep shadows as it slowly sinks behind the city. There are tents lining the city walls inside and out, with dozens of people teeming around them. The city itself also swarms with life, even as dusk settles. Sounds of street vendors hawking their wares, their customers negotiating, music and voices from the taverns, children and animals running through the streets to make their way home combine in a comforting clamor that says all is well, despite what your letters stated. The gates lay open before you, inviting you in to the din of the city.

"Master Fidalgo Ree'lyn Arken'ar, of House Arken'ar, herald of the Summer Queen, hereby makes known to Lord Leosin Erlanther that he will be present shortly in response to the Lord's call." - an elegantly clad Sprite announces at the gates, a mile prior to Ree'lyn's actual arrival. Her and the two companions show themselves flying before the soldiers before landing and waiting for the Drow to arrive.
Once the gates were crossed, the Drow nods to the guards and is led by the three faeries. - " You already know where the meeting will take place, right, Eacalla?" - he asks the Sprite, as it was her responsibility to have as much information without him needing to ask for it.
"A hero's respite is never long enough...Reorx didn't bless this soul for nothing."
Thorarak Flameforge, a heavily armored dwarven man stands before the gates. His skin is burnt and scaled and pink from the forge. The dwarf's hair and beard were tied off in multiple spots. He takes a deep breath and enters the city.

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Meep rides on Baird's shoulder as they approach the gate. "Seems like we are almost there Baird. Hopefully we will be paid well for this eh? We could use a few more magical trinkets. I wonder who else will be accompanying us."
The sight was peculiar to say the least. A 2 ft red frog with striking bright blue eyes wearing a purple and dark grey over coat, black gloves covering her hands and feet, a decanter almost her size strapped to her back, strange looking pair of goggles placed atop her head, and a large stick with a small feather, leaf, and nut adornments tied to it gripped in her hands. She rode on the shoulder of a large 8ft Minotaur, Baird, horns broken and in the process of growing back with rounded tips, his body a darker grey with his fur covered by his little amount of armor and some spattered stains, and all of his many weapons strapped to his back, one even sparking slightly. A light cloth laid over the shoulder which Meep sits upon.
Meep notices the guards and gives Baird a look. "Shall I do the talking then?"
(Good, that nat 20's outta the way, it's straight 1's from here on out)
You see mainly humans, but there is a sprinkling of just about every humanoid race; elves, dwarves, halflings, gnomes, and even half-elves, half-orcs, and a couple of tieflings.

Meep nods and frog leaps off of Bard's shoulder for a moment for walking up (bipedally) to the guards. "Excuse me. Could you tell me directions to The Piergeiron's Palace? My friend and I are supposed to be staying there and are meeting an acquaintance there. It's important we arrive there on time."

Baird smiles at the thought of himself being the one to speak to strangers, revealing one missing and one broken tooth on the side.
