Deep in the Mindspin Mountains, a storm giant warlord known as the Storm Tyrant has seized control of a cloud castle and an Orb of Dragonkind, and is gathering an army of giants from across western Avistan—first to bring the orc hordes of Belkzen under his banner, then to conquer the neighboring realms. Heroes defending the human town of Trunau from an orc raid discover that the attack is just a precursor to the Storm Tyrant's larger plans. Working their way through an abandoned border fort, an ancient giant temple, the tomb of an undead frost giant, and an elite fire giant training facility beneath a dormant volcano, the heroes eventually take the fight to the Storm Tyrant himself inside his flying fortress. Can the giant army be defeated before it can conquer the human lands of the Inner Sea, or will all of Avistan bow down in fealty to the Storm Tyrant?

Character Name: Eira Fletcher Race: Human (Variant) Class: Barbarian (tentative Path of the Ancestral Guardian) Ability Scores: Point Buy w/ mods (16, 14, 14, 8, 10, 12) Backstory: Eira has always been a faithful Trunauan. Born and raised in the settlement, she's believed her duty was to serve in the militia, protecting the town from any who would do it harm. However, a few months ago, her scouting party was caught in the middle of a brutal conflict: an orc raid outside of town. The young girl blames herself for the loss of her company, as few made it out of the battle and back to town alive. However, she swears she can still hear the whispers of some of her closest comrades lost in that battle. She isn't entirely sure of what's to come, but she does know that she'll do anything to keep the others in Trunau safe, and to ensure no further lives are lost.
Race: Wood Elf Class: Druid (hopefully Circle of Wildfire) Ability Scores: Stats with Mods - STR 10; DEX 16; CON 14; INT 10; WIS 16; CHA 8 Backstory: Metzger had a happy childhood, but was drawn to fire and nature, believing that fire helped balance nature such as when a forest grows too big. Sensing that their son wasn't a wizard, his parents figured he'd do best as a druid and sent him to an old friend for training. Metzger is familiar with the Trunau, having stopped there in-between his trips to the grove at the bottom of the mountain. As he tended to his grove one evening, the great fire spirit came to him in a vision, showing the town of Trunau covered in snow and ice. Curious about this vision, Metzger asked his mentor K'in about the dream, to which he responded with two words "Frost Giants." Metzger normally doesn't have hostility toward anyone, but he sees the giants as a threat to Trunau and the town in general. K'in told Metzger he believed that the fire within can help with the frozen menace and sent him to Trunau to aid the citizens.
Race: Half-Elf (High Elf) Class: Bard Ability Scores: standard array Backstory: Tine, pronounced Tina, was born to a barmaid in Trunau who was the taken in by the charm of a traveling elf. Growing up she found herself always listening to the stories of the bar patrons, eventually building a story for her father. Through the years she continued to gather stories in the bar and learned to play various instruments. While her mother waited tables she began to entertain the patrons. Eventually though she began to feel the need to venture out on her own and gather stories to tell, maybe even be at the center of one. Now she waits for a moment that will be the match to ignite the powder keg of her adventure.
Character Name: Lia Diamondew Race: Half Elf (Drow if allowed) Class: Rogue 1 (Plan on going Wizard - illusionist after this though.) Ability Scores: point buy Backstory:

Lia has lived her entire life in Trunau. She grew up mostly in a local tavern, as her mother worked there as a serving girl. She likely knows, and is likely friends with, Tine, as they could have spent their time together in the tavern. She has some smattering of skill with musical instruments, though has not taken to it as Tine has. She instead has taken to the streets, as often as not, learning to pick pockets, and doors when needed.
Lia has no knowledge of her father, other than the fact she is clearly half-elven, her mother does not speak of him. The only thing that her mother has done to recognize the fact Lia has a father is to give her a book, that her mother says was once her father's book. It was a book of mystical writings, all of which Lia has been unable to even read. She knows it is a spellbook, but the mysteries of the book is something she has been working to figure out.
