Rat Queens as in you don't know who/what they are or as in you don't understand an adventure based on their universe? It's basically DnD rules in the comic-book world for flavor. The adventure background is based on Rat Queens knowing the story is essential to understanding the adventure and most of the characters involved that your party will come across but it's also homebrewed.
A summary: The eponymous "Rat Queens" are a rambunctious party of adventurers in a medieval fantasy with strong female characters. They comprise the rockabilly elven mage Hannah, the hipster dwarven warrior Violet who shaved her beard before it became cool, the atheist human cleric Dee, who hails from a family of Lovecraftian monster cultists, and the hippie halfling (here called "smidgen") thief Betty, whose idea of a hearty meal is a bag of drugs and candy.
Adventurers Wanted you read posted on a wall outside the Gnawed Knight a tavern in the slums of in the Palisades. The poster is relatively new and not too covered in grime.

Name: An'dee
Race: Half Elf
Class: Paladin (If UA path of heroism is available I'll do that otherwise devotion)
Background: Criminal, An'dee was raised in elven lands by her father when her human mother died in childbirth (yes, she's a true half elf). She didn't get much love and attention growing up and therefore acted out as a child. At the point she started setting fires her father had enough and sent her off to military school where she would learn the tenants of the faith.
Always an expert at the "long game" Dee bided her time, learning new martial skills and studying, but with the full intent of rejoining her miscreant friends when she left school. We meet An'dee on the week of her graduation where she is responding to the post about goblins.
Player's can put their characters here or send my a PM too. I will consider player's unfamiliar with the comic but need to be willing to learn the lore of Rat Queens!
Thanks!
P.s. 4d6 drop the lowest or point buy for STATS is acceptable!
Not necessarily female but the Rat Queens are a well known female mercenary group. I'd totally consider male characters who are willing to be lead by strong women!
Name: Vixx Race: Warforged Class: Artificer background: Vixx doesn't remember much of the war... and once she was granted her freedom and independence.. she set out on her own path. She had done enough killing and was now fascinated by her own body and her own creation. After years of studying the creation of the warforged.. she began to practice the ways of the artificer in the hope of enhancing herself and other warforged. Perhaps one day if she were strong enough.. she could return to the old battlefields and restore some of her fallen brothers and sisters.. and perhaps even start a colony where warforged could live amung themselves in peace.. without being treated like mindless machines and expendable equipment. But before she could do that... she had to get stronger.. and probably get some help as well. https://ddb.ac/characters/19855061/ukOCrL

Name: Tempest Blacksong
Race: Variant Human
Class: Wizard (Evoker)
Background: Sage
Backstory:
Tempest grew up in a life of privilege, going to the best schools, studying at the best libraries, you know the drill. She had a good life. She did not enjoy the restrictions, and had a little tiny bit of a temper, well, ok, a bit bigger temper than that... She studied because she had to, but quickly grew bored with looking at books and just wanted to be out doing something.
Her parents apprenticed her to a wizard, and she had some excitement traveling with him on occasion, but he quickly became dull and too worried about danger for her care. She packed up her things, and decided she was going to go and see the world.
Tine, pronounced Tina, was born to be a star since she was a child. Her father unknown to her, but her mother would tell her about him while she waited on tables at the tavern. Though throughout the times of telling the stories of her father, his profession always seemed to changed. One year he was an Elven noble who found himself at the tavern because of a rain storm, other takes placed him as an epic Elven warrior on a quest to slay a dragon, but the eventual truth of the matter was he was an Elf who found himself at a tavern and had a fun night that ended up in her birth.
Though her mother’s tales and the traveling bards that came through did entertain her and inspire her to pursue telling stories and singing songs. She now plays in the tavern hoping to entertain those who have had a long day, and maybe earn some coin. Though part of her wants to spread her songs and tales in search of fame and the building of her own story.
Details to come, who's interested?
