Terra's two continents, Terra Legum and Terra Ferus, are the law and the wild incarnate, born from the death of the two overgods from whom they derive their names. Terra Legum, the western continent, is a land of urbanization and industrialization, where skyscrapers rise into the heavens and railways connect every city. But the lights of Atlas conceal a darker world. Factories dump refuse into polluted rivers, and rodents scavenge for scraps in the poverty-ridden slums.
In contrast, Terra Ferus, the eastern landmass, is a continent of wild, savage beauty. It is a land of ancient civilizations, lost treasures, and terrifying monsters. Dense jungles, arid deserts, colorful reefs, frigid mountains, misty swamps, expansive grasslands, and lush forests cover the continent. Adventure awaits those courageous enough to venture into it's heart.
Welcome, adventurer! I am looking for 4-6 players to participate in a campaign set in my homebrew world of Terra. This campaign will be set primarily in the eastern continent of Terra Ferus, where you will be given the chance to explore a land of savage beauty and wild majesty. While adventuring, you will discover a primal threat that could mean the fall of Legum Terra if it is not stopped.
If you are interested in participating in my campaign, create a 1st level character using point buy ability scores. No homebrew, gith, or evil player characters allowed. Goblinoids, yuan-ti, lizardfolk, kobolds, and orcs are not inherently evil in Terra, and are acceptable player characters.
I am not interested in rules-lawyering or what the PHB has to say on the average carrying capacity of a packhorse. This campaign will focus on the roleplaying and exploring aspect of D&D, and combat will be casual. Skill checks against other player characters are not allowed (for example, rolling Intimidation against a fellow adventurer.) I am a mortal man, and will frequently forget abilities and traits, so I apologize in advance. Finally, at the risk of sounding like an ass, the DM has the final say. I don't want to get into arguments with my players over trivialities. If you're still with me after all that, I'd say we're going to get along very well!
Please PM me your character application with your character's name, race, class, background, and a brief description of your character concept. We will work out the details of your backstory together once you have given me the skeleton of your character design. Finally, tell me what drives your character to adventure.
This looks like a good place for a Bearbarian (Druid first level, then multiclass to barbarian, if you're okay with that)! If you're okay with having me in two of your games, I'll build one out later!

Sounds good. Don't sink too much time into your backstory, we'll work that out together.
I’d like to join with a Gnome wizard who is interested in exploring the history of the arcane of ancient civilizations. If that would fit into this world.
I've got an aarakocra rogue with some... interesting personality traits that will become more evident as things go on that I just applied with for reference

So far this session I have hit my teammates twice, flat-out missed 3 times, and only hit the enemy twice. Trust me, you don't want to borrow my dice.
This thread is now closed. A warm thanks to everyone who expressed interest in this campaign. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your characters.
I have selected the six characters who will be participating in the campaign. If you have been chosen you will be notified within the next several hours.
Interested, I might post a character in a bit and DM you stuff like backstory, rather than posting it here(everyone loves secrets, after all. Or at least, everyone loves having secrets, it’s less fun when someone else is keeping something from you. Fortunately, I’m a piece of human garbage, so I don’t have to worry about what other people feel because I don’t care!)
Huh, I’ve got more writing in parentheses than I do out of them. Eh, whatever.

I present Geralt Demnor, who is entirely, 100%, human! Absolutely! Ignore the lack of sleep, the sagging skin, the disproportionate strength, and the metallic squealing he sometimes makes, he's human! That's right, Mister Demnor is in no way a... Facade.

Edit: Scratch that. I like artificer idea more
Salazar - Human Warlock of the Fiend (1) - The Lucarcian Incident
Shepherd Torrent Brallern Water Genasi Druid (1) - Ekuepool
Celeste Belle - Air Genasi Mutant Blood Hunter (1) - Old West
DM for A Waterdhavian Heist
DM, are you okay with Warforged?
We could be an explorer crew from Western continent and I can build an artificer!
Salazar - Human Warlock of the Fiend (1) - The Lucarcian Incident

Celeste Belle - Air Genasi Mutant Blood Hunter (1) - Old West
DM for A Waterdhavian Heist

That's fine. They're known as automatons in Terra, and aren't necessarily built for war.
Great idea. For this campaign you are already an established adventuring party seeking treasure and renown in the wilderness of Terra Ferus.
Alright, I'll scratch the bearbarian and go with an artificer from Terra Legum
Salazar - Human Warlock of the Fiend (1) - The Lucarcian Incident
Shepherd Torrent Brallern Water Genasi Druid (1) - Ekuepool
Celeste Belle - Air Genasi Mutant Blood Hunter (1) - Old West
DM for A Waterdhavian Heist

I love the set up so far! I'll be pming you a character or two post haste.
Soren - Lvl. 5 Half Orc Barbarian - The Adventures of Salazria
Aramintha Erosflyn - Lvl. 1 Wood Elf Ranger - Legend of the Godeater
I'll postpone the selection until you've submitted your characters for consideration.
