I was interested in whether anyone wanted to try a homebrew campaign set in a fantastical future Earth called Erth. If you are, please tell me in the comments.
The Story of Erth:
Long ago, this was a planet of technology and humans. It was a distinctly non-magical planet, and its occupants (our ancestors) threatened Erth with chemicals that would render it bare and dead. Then, as many native species neared extinction, our salvation came in a very unexpected way. A comet hurtled through space near Erth, and a chunk of it broke off, growing closer and closer to the planet. As it passed through the atmosphere, chunks of it broke off to impact the ground on all corners of the globe. The main chunk flew towards the continent of Afriqua, finally impacting just offshore from the Seharra Desert. It carved a valley 20 miles long and 5 miles wide into the sand, finally coming to rest at the very end. Now, this comet was made up of rock with veins of adamantine running through it all. Thus, the dust that spread around the globe had tiny little metal particles in it which turned our distinctly non-magical planet into a magical one, transforming ordinary beasts into strange creatures. Millennia passed, and this history was forgotten as divine beings and sentient items became the norm. Empires rose and fell around the little mountains of adamantine, and creatures that had been imprisoned in the ice were freed. And so now this little planet yours to guard. Treat it well, for it will not last long without keepers to protect it. And now you, the next generation, must maintain peace, for now you are the last keeper.
-Keeper Rasthalin on her deathbed, addressing Keeper Tarnic.
If you want to play, this campaign will be set in North Amrica (North America). There are two warring countries, Asfull (US area) and Uxil (Canada area).

*Sheeeeez this is from a long time ago... a lot has changed...*
Backstory. Trilin was always a curious child and was constantly wandering off to inspect and investigate new things. One day during a long trip with her parents, she wandered a little too far and found herself caught up in brambles and lost, she is not quite sure where she is originally from and mistakenly taken in by a family that took her for an odd little child. Her new parents quickly discovered that she was not in fact a child but kept her from wandering away again. She's always had a talent for natural things and was a fabulous boon to these farmers. She gradually forgave them for keep her and forcing her to use her skills for their prosperity and have passed away. She's since left this home to others of the family who did not take so kindly to her presence and is out to seek new knowledge. Maybe someday she will reunite with her true parents.
Backstory. Fuse is what is left of the CONDUIT- Project but does not know his or its purpose. He was created by the old civilisations, infused with the mithral that was found in the comet chunk. The mithral influenced his processors and he went wild and could only barely be stopped. He fell into a semi-concious state filled with visions of nature, greenery and wildlife, while around him the metal began to corrode. afer centuries of waiting the place that trapped him was damaged enough for Fuse to escape and he was greeted with, quite literally, his dream world.

Name. Chrerc Starmark the Brilliant
Race/Class (all accepted). Kobold Artificer
Background. Izzet Engineer (From Ravnica; let me know if that's not okay)
Backstory. Chrerc Starmark was small, even as a hatchling. He knew that brawn would never be successful for him. So, he learned how to be smarter than all the other kobolds in his clutch. In particular, he was a builder. He seemed to have an intuitive sense of how things worked and could take them apart and put them back together... almost as good as they were before. Sometimes his creations would explode and react poorly--he certainly had the scars to show for it--but that was just more information, as far as Chrerc was considered. Eventually, he found a small gathering of like-minded engineers who were more interested in what was possible than what was safe. It was here he flourished, learning from goblins and dwarves and gnomes, all the most engineering-minded folk. While he knew they had more to teach him, he also knew, he would need to explore in order to learn the most. Experimentation out in the wide world would lead to vastly more useful knowledge and education than any kind of lab experiments. Thus, he set out to adventure and science.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Alfonso Deepgleam - Human - Monk (way of mercy) - Charlatan
Alfonso has pretended you be on either side of the conflict more than once in order to carry out his own ideals of right and wrong. Usually that’s meant healing the wounded. Now though... now, he thinks it might be time to hurt the wicked. So he’s found a ready made team of folks heading towards danger. He’s anxious to see if that puts him in the right place at the right time.
Backstory. Rurik is a traveling preacher, teaching the path to joy to all who would listen. His connection to the divine is a special one, though at first glance he might be mistaken for just another cleric. Not particularly interested in the ongoing war, which he considers madness and a direct result of a lack of understanding of his god's teachings, he crosses borders casually and along the way performs (sometimes badly) in taverns of either side, healing the wounded and defending the innocent wherever he finds them.
Race/Class (all accepted). Half-elf bard (College of Lore)
Background. Cloistered Scholar
Backstory. Mafalda would have been content to continue her musical and magical studies under the Order of the Esterlord in Rostern until she attained the rank of Choirmaster; however, her parents announced in the wake of her grandmother's death that they would be moving eight hundred miles away to Luvill, in order to be closer to Mafalda's brother Lessandro and his household. She was devastated: the roots of the Privitera family tree were deep in northeastern Asfull, predating even Cometfall itself. Mafalda decided that if she were to leave Rostern, she would uproot herself on her own terms as an adventurer, leaving the door open for her to return to academia in the future.
