Crypta is a crystal kingdom of mermaids. The world is in 21xx and has very advanced technology. With there set towns and cities. It has its own set of mystery that needs to be solved. And that’s what you are for, you have seen an add made by the royal scientist to find the town she was created with others. The place she is trying to find makes merpeople that have ranges of mutations, from just powers and immortality, to being a creature hybrid. There you will be paid to help find all of the operations of this science operations and rescue any mermaids. The rulers (which are a line of octopus) trenchchild’s are very concerned about that since their beloved royal scientists are one of them.

Woodhurst:

The not as well known town in crypta is woodhurst. This large town is located in a valley and has a quaint atmosphere.  It is best-known for its winter festival and its many eccentric inhabitants. The winter festival has lights, candy cane contests, Santa’s workshop, secret Santa, sea horse races, gingerbread house competitions and will have baking championships. The habitats are preserved by the town so it can look the greatest. The princess loves to join in on the racing and giant gingerbread house making. The townspeople enjoy the company of   the royal family. The royal family join in on the festivals in different places for different towns.

Winter festival:

The winter festival is known for its abundance of Christmas cheer and festivities. They have great eggnog and are known for their decorations and Christmas flavored sweets, like Binets. It would take them most the year for the bakery to make enough gingerbread for the giant gingerbread house and contest. All of woodhurst is required to help in some way, like volunteering to make the gingerbread house or helping decorate the entire town. They also decorate the giant tree.

You went to a tavern like shop named honey crisps waiting for the royal scientists. Honey crisps are a bar, inn and job recruiting building. They take in some adventures and serve many customers a day. Honey, the woman that owns the building is very kind. For inn members she would cook and sometimes for the bar. She and other staff sell special Christmas dishes for the winter festival, the bar is for all ages having things like butterbeer, coffee, and etc. so if adventurous can bring lost children or their own child/ younger sibling.

you will make a mer person that just traveled to a town called woodhurst for this opening I will give mor details once the campaign starts. There can be any amount of people that start at lv 1.

 How are you supposed to do it? Is that the aquatic race for this?

 This a MERMAID campaign what do you think. Not everyone has the same old fish tail it can be any color pattern whatever

 I know but the idea for the campaign is mermaids, and I want to see how it goes out with other people before I write a story or add to much lore, because I can get too carried away.

You confused people because there is no mermaid race.

There are a few other water type races which you can choose from in your campaign PC build rules. I think you should try again with the official races in mind.

It would be no problem to have the NPCs be mermaids though.

The point of this campaign is supposed to be all mermaids and IMPROVISING 

Improvising is fine if there are rules to back it up. Without rules for mermaid PCs people don't know how to make a character or if they even want to play a mermaid at all.

It might be difficult to get a game going when you require everybody to be the same race. ESPECIALLY when there are no rules for them.
