Sun-D-Twenty: After the assassin attack and subsequent clean-up the rest of the night passed uneventfully for the Order of the Fallen Owl. The proprietor of the Dragon's Head Tavern was very accomodating going so far as to offer his best rooms in what is already a palatial hostel. In the morning, a hot feast was laid out waiting. Eventually everyone is sitting around the table. As people begin speaking, inevitably about topics such as the assassination attempt, the council meeting, the grandeur of Waterdeep, and the Cult are discussed.
Determination: *picking at her food, looking quite irritated* All they could talk about was any misstep or mistake we made. Nothing about freeing slaves, defeating a dragon, bringing prosperity back to a failing town. Ingrates!
Ori pauses from wolfing down a heaped up plate of food as his happy grin slips off his face, he stares off into the air behind Determination for a few seconds before speaking: My Ancestor's say that people who look back at the past events and constantly wail "If only we had done it different" are everywhere and will always exist. Don't let their belly aching distract you, let us focus on convincing them to help us stop this murder fueled summoning ritual. Their and our priority is stopping Tiamat from leading an army of dragons on a rampage. Ori resumes devouring his food and his smile returns.
Zekro stands by the fire, drawing sustenance from its warmth. "For all of the knowledge gathered within this city, I find it highly ironic that its leading council can be so ignorant."
Thorack: That's gonna be easier said than done. Should we think about leaving the mask we have already in the hands of this Waterdeep Council? If it's one drake too many for us, I don't want the enemy to pick up the masks we are carrying around for them!
Zekro: The power of the mask in Shovel's hands shouldn't be underestimated. I think we proceed forward with the mask in our possession. I also do not trust that the mask will be safe with the council. Who knows what political agendas have infiltrated its members or their administration.
