For ages untold, a gemstone monolith has pierced the heart of the Echo Wood. Now, as civilization intrudes upon this enigmatic splinter, a strange life once again stirs in the depths—one with ties to undying evils and a might beyond time itself. The promise of wealth and power calls to glory-seekers from across the Inner Sea region, tempting them into a labyrinth of monster-haunted vaults, defiled tombs, arcane laboratories, and worse, as they seek to unveil the secrets locked below the legendary Emerald Spire.
Welcome, one and all, to another DMWoja adventure. This time, I am looking for a team of four to take through my 5e-ified Emerald Spire Superdungeon. You begin in Fort Inevitable, a small town just off the Crusader Road, sandwiched between the West Sellen River and the Echo Wood. It is ruled by members of the Hellknight Order of the Pike, but is otherwise unclaimed by any of the other political entities of the River Kingdoms. If you are interested, apply here with the following:
Character Name: Race: (PHB only, no dragonborn) Class: (PHB, XGE, TCE only) Ability Scores: (point buy or standard array) Brief Backstory: Ability to share content?: I am at my limit of campaigns that I'm sharing content with, and would truly appreciate if someone else was willing to share. I'd let you start with a point of inspiration. For the meantime, I recommend building a character with whatever content you currently have unlocked.
Syd comes from a pretty prominent family and grew up knowing eventually she would rule the land her parents came from. She had a leisurely court life as far back as she could remember and the common folk loved her family as they did the best they could to provide for all. Then one fateful day, tragedy struck and her entire family was killed and hunted by an unknown entity. She fled her privileged life at a young age with a trusted family protector and since then has been living on the fringe of civilized lands as she is constantly looking over her shoulder expecting her hunters to finally find her. Unfortunately on there travels they encountered a band of trolls and her protector was killed and once again she fled for her life. and now she has learned to take what she needs when she needs it to survive.
Sounds like it could be fun. What level would the campaign start at? I like to align backstory to make sense with the relative starting points of the characters.
Character Name: Ethan Storm Race: Fallen Aasimar Class: Paladin (Going Sorcerer later on though.) Ability Scores: Point buy Brief Backstory:
Ethan has worked as a city watch, at least in his latest temperary home. He tends to have to move around more than most, due to his heritage. Eventually someone always seems to find out about his Fallen state and he has to either leave or feel their eyes on him whenever his back is turned. The most recent stint lasted for some time longer than previous ones, but, as always, it was bound to come to an end. Having heard rumors of the Emerald Spire, and wishing to see what it was about, as well as knowing that most factions did not have much power in this area, he decided to check it out.
Ability to share content?: Yes I have one slot left open.
Name: Kel'dan Class/Race: Half-elf Shadow Magic Sorcerer Ability Score: Standard array Brief Backstory: Kel'dan grew up living a comfortable life, until an unexplained eruption of dark power coursed through him nearly destroying his family's home. In fear and confusion, the half-elf ran away, abandoning the life he knew. Having lived in isolation for some months, he has managed to gain some measure of control over this new power and began to seek answers as to why this shadow has manifested within him. This quest for understanding has brought him to the Emerald Tower, where the nascent sorcerer hopes to discover something about his affliction. Ability to share content: No, unfortunately.
Character Name: Viktor Dreamweaver Race: Tiefling Class: Cleric (Twilight Domain) Ability Scores: Standard Array Brief Backstory:(Doing it in Character because its still a WIP but it helps me get into character!)
"Well hello there friends, people call me Vik or Viktor, family name's Dreamweaver... But I'm the stuff of nightmares" Viktor laughs as he strokes the thin black tuft of hair on his chin. "So you wish to know a little bit about me, eh? Well it's not the most interesting of tales but I can sum my life up pretty quick. I've loved the dark as long as I can remember, the quiet, the danger, a whole other world awakens at night. My parents gave me a first name, but they always referred to me as Dreamweaver. They taught me to appreciate the night, embrace the convergence of our lives and those who prowl the night. Now after a happy 20 years with my family, I want to show the rest of the world that Twilight is to be respected, feared, but above all... Understood."
Viktor sits down in the middle of the room, eyes glaze over in a pure sunflower yellow, and with a toothy grin beckons you forward, "Let me show you the wonders of a world you've never seen before. Let me show you a world that you've only ever dreamed about seeing..."
Ability to share content?: I can share content, I only have one campaign going and I have the PHB and TCE but not XGE

Character Name: Lyssma Rumnaheimhttps://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/Ashen_Age/characters/45470129 Race: Dwarf (Duergar) (w/ Tasha's Custom Origins) Class: Druid (Circle of the Land (Underdark)) Ability Scores: Point Buy Ability to share content?: Yes, I have the adventurer's bundle
Backstory: Born in the darkness of the labyrinthian caverns beneath the River Kingdoms, Lyssma and her family were part of a circle of druids, shamans, and warriors that guarded their territory within that endless maze. Her clan was one of many groups, and many species, that dwell within the deep, and she grew to know neighbors, fear predators, and hate enemies. She learned the languages of the surface dwellers and the primordials. She learned to use a bow and arrow. She also knew love. In fact, she had a son.
Only a few decades after the birth of her child, a horde of mind flayer raiders attacked Lyssma's settlement and killed several of her people, including her child. She was kidnapped along with others, to be made a slave. The slavers did not understand the power of their captives, who were able to call down stalactites to crash upon the slavers as they slept. Those surviving fled deeper down into the earth.
They were able to reform their clan, build upon it, and move on. Lyssma had other children, who have now grown into adults. In her middle age, she has grown more independent, adventurous, and some might say reckless. Of late, she has felt a compulsion toward the surface, a disturbance in the natural balance. Something is terribly wrong in the land beneath Echo Wood, and she aims to find out what it is.

He had already been at the lumber camp for several years when the current foreman started back in the day. No one knew who his parents are, or were. The lumber jacks were quite taken by him, and his willingness to pretty much do anything and come back smiling. Yet, Mego tanned grey instead of brown, and he was developing a bit of temper. It was no surprise to anyone that Mego showed early promise with the axes and saws, so the foreman put him to work as an apprentice lumberjack in exchange for food; just before Mego hit his growth spurt. Mego soon found himself spending more time hunting for his food then cutting wood. After a while he started trading the excess skins with the dwarf miners nearby in exchange for lessons in leatherworking. Mego's gloves and aprons were most welcome among the lumberjacks, much to the foreman's dismay. Mego became source of news for both the lumberjacks and the miners, a bridge if you will between the 2. So whenever any greivences were being aired he would always speak up on behalf of the workers regardless of race. When management of mine and lumber mill got together to bring in an education committee consisting of orcs and goblins, Mego again sided with the workers..

I am able to share content if need be.
Interested! Would you allow a Duergar dwarf? I'm picturing a circle of the land (underdark) druid lured from below by the anomalies of the spire.
That's interesting, so I'll allow it!
