I have a new player who would like to use D&D beyond to make their first time playing a little easier, however they would also like to use some of the optional class features that the Ranger offers.
So my question is this: if they buy the individual item "Swarmkeeper" (their chosen subclass), will this also unlock the optional class features since it has come from Tasha's? If not, do you have to buy the full book to unlock these features as there is no option to individually purchase them? I'm trying to keep the costs down as it is their first time playing!
Thanks in advance (and I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong place)!
I remember someone asking about this last time and it turned out the player would have to purchase the book to unlock those optional features. That's even if they bought the subclass. (thankfully they subtract that from the book price after purchase)
Other option would be to enable content sharing if you have it.
