The short answer is, no. You do not add anything to the d6 roll.
A bit longer piece of general advice: read everything very literally and precisely. People will often note, spells (and powers, etc.) only do exactly what they say they do. In this case the spell description doesn’t say you add anything to hunters mark, so you don’t.
Spell attack modifier is your "to hit modifier" for spells that require attack rolls. You do not add your attribute or proficiency bonus to any spell unless the spell says so.
Hello all,
I am new to D&D and am unsure of... well a lot of things, lol.
When the Ranger learns Spell Casting ability... does the spell attack modifier count for Hunters mark?
So do I add my proficiency bonus plus wisdom modifier to the extra 1d6 my Hunters Mark gives?
Thanks in advance
