We just hit level 3 and one of the main reasons i chose Ranger was for BM. The only option the builder gives me is Hunter, any idea as to why it wont let me select BM?
The feature/subclass/race you are referring to is not part of the D&D 5th edition SRD and will need to be unlocked from the marketplace before you can use it on D&D Beyond.

Ok makes sense! . I guess if i am going to use D&D Beyond i will have to stick with Hunter. Because the wife aint gonna let me drop $300+ for D&D LOL!!! Thank you for answering so fast
I got the player's handbook and it still doesnt show me the BM.ㅠㅠ
To use the revised Beastmaster from Tasha's, you have to actually purchase Tasha's Cauldron of Everything. The 2024 PHB has Beastmaster in it, but the 2014 one did not, so you have to purchase another book to use Beastmaster with the 2014 Ranger.

It matters where you purchased it from. You must purchase it from this site. Otherwise if you buy it from anywhere else (valid or not) you are out of luck.
That said I think you can purchase an electronic version only that gives you access. I had to purchase a 2nd hardcopy (was on sale) and paid a little more for the electronic version on here.

D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast: D&D 5th edition SRD, D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, and Elemental Evil Companion.
Content from other sources, such as the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, or Monster Manual, will need to be purchased from the Marketplace or accessed via another user sharing content with you via their Master Tier Subscription.
That's no problems and you don't need to spend anything like $300 for your character.
You can purchase the Beast Master archetype for just $1.99 from here.
If you later decide that you'd like to purchase the full Player's Handbook, then the price is discounted by that $1.99

Is there any way to purchase the revised Tasha's Beastmaster class on beyond solo or do I need to purchase the full book?
Unfortunately, I believe Optional Class Features are exclusively for the whole book, not individual purchase.
