War caster allows a spell with a casting time of an action as an attack of opportunity at the creature. HM has a casting time of a bonus action. Can a ranger with war caster cast HM as an "attack of opportunity" or does the bonus action casting not count towards the action requirement?
Thanks. That's what I thought. I'll probably use WC to trigger charm person with my FW to try to kick off a cascade of charm/fear with the FW class feature.
