Can you cast Magic Weapon or Elemental Weapon on your Beast Companion?
No, because both of these spells target a weapon, and a Beast Companion is not a weapon.

At level 7 your beast does your choice of normal or force damage so it no longer needs magic enhancement.

Yeah I was hoping its bite was considered a weapon.
Yeah was more interested in the +2 Attack and Damage than the magic part.
