would the dueling fighting style effect both of the soul knife attacks since after you hit or miss with the blade it vanishes. Do you think this would create a dps imbalance at all its an additional 4 damage per round and possibly more if hasted and or dipped into fighter for action surge which depending on how generous your dm is might be both the action and bonus action.
It would appear you are correct, though it bears mentioning that soul knife is a UA subclass and as such, isn't balanced for the multiclassing necessary to get dueling. Even so, the extra damage is unlikely to actually cause a significant imbalance compared to certain feats. The boost would be more likely to give a bit of help to someone who multiclassed rogue for aesthetic reasons to get the psychic blades.
I'd probably allow it. Since they disappear they also don't give you an AC boost from the Dual Wielder feat and the second attack is basically only a Dagger anyway. Last weekend I played a Soulknife with sharpshooter which was lots of fun and when I did it I did a ton of damage (especially when you finish the BBEG with a crit and applied sneak attack lol) but it didn't really feel imbalanced compared to the rest of the group either.
