Hey guys I am hoping you can help me understand some mechanics. I have a player who is a druid, this player has a Spell attack of +9 and a modifier of +3. They also use a Moon Sickle +2. When using Ray of Frost she has a +11 to hit which is the +9 attack and the +2 from the Moon Sickle. But when casting Ice Knife she is only gets the +9 from the spell attack. Should she still not be getting the +11 as they are both considered ranged spell attacks from their own spell descriptions?
We are using the calculations given to us by DnD Beyond. These are not the only spells that seem to have weird stats, these are just the two we are using as an example.

I just want to check. Is the druid level 17-20 to account for that +6 proficiency modifier to the attack roll or is she level 9-12 with a +4 proficiency and +2 from the sickle?
If she isn't over level 17, I suspect she accidentally customized the cantrip to be stronger than it should be.

Ok, that feat doesn't make those spells count as druid spells for her, so she should have to cast them with intelligence. That explains some of the issue here. The reason why ray of frost shows a higher bonus is her higher bonus for int than wis.
+4 proficiency, +3 wis, and +2 moon sickle explains the +9 for most of her spells, but I don't think that you should apply the moon sickle to the magic initiate spell.
I think this is a bug with D&DBeyond, as moon sickle seems to apply its bonus to all spells a character can cast, and not just the druid/ranger spells.
@WolfOfTheBees Thanks a lot, I can't believe we both missed that. As far as the Moon Sickle applying the +2 to all spells, I guess that's a good bonus for her LOL.

Yeah, the attack bonus should be +5 INT +4 PB = +9
But the +2 from moon sickle is applying even though it is a wizard spell. That's the problem.
The druid has higher INT than WIS tripped us up a little.
She should be looks like an error to me.

Posting a link to the PC would help people figure out what might be occurring.
How did they end up with ray of frost as a druid spell anyway?
M'y guess is that one or the spell is not treated as a druid spell for you with the Moon Sickle.
@DxJxC: she is level 11
@Spammdc here is a link to her PC https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/FelineWind/characters/26609447
@WolfOfTheBees she took the Feet Magic Initiate (Wizard) that allows her to have 2 cantrips and 1 level 1 wizard spell.

Yeah, the Ray of Frost should not get the +2 and should get the +int bonus. The Ice Knife should get the +2 from Sickle and the Wisdom Bonus.
WolfoftheBees for the win.
