In Fizban's Treasury, there are now greatwyrms, which are the biggest and most powerful of all dragons? But how big are they? All you get is a few pictures of greatwyrms, but no description of their true size. Their breath weapons are a 300 foot cone, which makes me think they have to be waaaaaay bigger than ancient dragons. If someone could tell me actual sizes for these dragons that would be very nice.
They are bigger, but since it is the largest category, they are still Gargantuan size. They simply become genuinely infused with unconscionable levels of elemental energy. This explains the potency and scale of their breath weapons. This text is helpful:
"In both size and power, chromatic greatwyrms exceed even ancient dragons. The energy of their breath weapons courses over their bodies and glows under their scales, and elemental forces rage around them when they exert their wrath. They no longer need to eat or drink, as their vast hoards magically sustain them. And their power can raze a city to the ground, destroying buildings and defenders alike."

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
They occupy a 20x20 square if you use a grid. So that’s 16, 5x5 squares, compared to one 5x5 for a human.
If you don’t use a grid, then they’re really, really big, but for specifics, they’re as big as your mind theater wants them to be.
correction. they occupy a 20x20 square *minimum* if you use a grid.
They can occupy as many squares as you want above that.

Old post, but the art for the chromatic greatwyrm, I think they would be 2ish miles long, and 5ish mile wingspan.
It's a very wild guesstimate from greatwyrm's artworks ;)
On a grid i would most likely use at least 6 x 6 squares space for such creature to reflect it being larger than base Gargantuan size.
So while old this is usually how i look at it. You can see the Elf on the bottom right and there size difference.
