In the spell summon beast, the creature summoned by you is a beast that has a challenge rating equal to your proficiency bonus. In the spell polymorph, you can transform into a beast whose challenge rating is less than or equal to your level. Is it possible for you to transform into the bestial spirit? Could you transform into the highest level beast possible with 4 attacks as the highest proficiency attainable is 6 and you must be at least level 7 to cast polymorph? I feel as though this needs discussing.
A quick fix off the top of my head is you transform into the spirit whose spell level is equal to the spell level you cast polymorph at.

Pretty sure "Challenge — Proficiency Bonus equals your bonus" is just saying that proficiency bonus is equal to your PB instead of being computed from CR.

Yeah, there was a thread on this a while ago, if you look at the printed version of Tasha's instead of dndbeyond, it's quite clear that CR =/= PB, that's two adjacent but unrelated sections. Those beasts do not have a CR value, so their CR value is not "less than or equal to your level" unless you read null as 0. Which, debatable!
The new generic beasts are cool, so your DM may want to find a way to let it happen even if its ambiguous or sketchy as a RAW interpretation. Polymorphing into such a beast as could be summoned using the level of spell slot you used for Polymorph, with your spellcasting modifier, would be.... a not particularly RAW approach, but possibly a balanced-enough version of doing this.

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
What they said. The beast spirit does not have any challenge rating.
I am firmly in the "NULL is not 0" camp.
I like using Nets with Sharpshooter as something other than a mere feat tax to remove disadvantage, so I RAF support null as 0 :)
