So the "Minimus Containment" version of Imprisonment states "The gemstone can't be cut or broken while the spell remains in effect."
Does this mean it can't be destroyed at all?
What about effects that "destroy" a gem/item? Or Disintegrate?
And if the gem is destroyed is the imprisoned creature just automatically killed? If not are they permanently 1 inch tall then? There are no criteria for the spell ending due to being destroyed.
I’d rule being disintegrated counts as being broken, just the pieces are really, really small. I basically read that as it’s indestructible, but the designers didn’t have the time or interest in describing every possible way in which it can’t be destroyed.

That's because the gem cannot be destroyed. Other than light, nothing else can pass through and it can’t be cut or broken while the spell remains in effect.
