Hey, all. Apologies if this is not the correct place for this post--I think this is my first time making a thread on the forums.
So, I have a homebrew subclass that I'm going to be playing in an upcoming game. It's called the Magical Virtuoso, and it's a sorcerer origin. One of its features allows the PC to know spells that match their specialty arcane school from outside the sorcerer spell list. For example, a sufficiently high level Illusion-focused Magical Virtuoso could know Mirage Arcane, which is normally limited to Bards, Druids, and Wizards. Likewise, an evoker could learn Flame Strike, even though it's typically a divine-only spell, and so on.
My question is this: Is there any way, either through the subclass options themselves, or through the character sheet, to access and learn spells from other class spell lists? I'm aware that you can add bonus spells to subclasses, but making eight different versions of the Magical Virtuoso, each adding all the relevant spells not on the sorcerer spell list, is not really efficient and will become obsolete with every new sourcebook.
Thank you!
