I'm receiving conflicting reports so I wanted to ask the community for their opinion.
Shadow Blade states that if attacks are made while the caster is standing in dim or dark light, they gain Advantage for the attack. The Twilight Domain Cleric Channel Divinity Twilight Sanctuary surrounds the character with 30 feet of 'dim light'. Does this class carry its own source of dim light via the channel divinity? The Steps of the Night feature is the same...it works in dim light or darkness.
I've heard from some that the dim light from Twilight Sanctuary doesn't count since it comes from the player itself.
The Twilight Cleric does bring its own source of dim light with it. When their Channel Divinity is active, "a sphere of twilight emanates from you", meaning (to me anyway) even on a brightly-lit day, everything in a 30-ft radius would be in dim light.
However, the dim light does not diminish other sources of light, so if someone within 20 ft of the cleric is carrying a torch, then the cleric would no longer be in dim light.

Yes. Twilight Sanctuary creates a 30-foot radius sphere of twilight emanating from you that is filled with dim light, which can benefit a Shadow Blade.
The Devs discussed it on Dragontalk podcast and Twitter if you want to know their take on it;
@carlos_cisco How do the Twilight domain abilities work in bright light... or say... somewhere with no day/night cycle like Avernus or the Feywild? Does the aura of dim light reduce the light in the general area if it's bright out?
@Dan_Dillon_1 It is dim light. It dims bright light, and lights up darkness

What's the consensus among the community?
As long as the dim light isn’t being stamped out by bright light from something else, it counts.

That is my ruling on the situation.
