my dm is letting me have a uncommon magic item, and i want to add my intelligence to my cantrips. is there any way? Are there any magic items that add my ability score to cantrips? if so i would like to see them.
I can’t think of one...the only things I can think of are class/subclass abilities...Evocation Wizards get a similar ability (but for all evocation spells) at level 10, and there are Warlock eldritch invocations that allow charisma to be added to one of their cantrips.
you might want to work with your DM on a custom item, but given that the closest equivalent is a 10th level class ability it’s probably a pretty powerful (and rarer) item you are requesting
The Wand of the War Mage is the closest thing that I can think of that would add a bonus to attacking with spells, but it's merely a straight +1 attack bonus (as an uncommon item) and doesn't get added to the damage roll.
Would agree with Icona that the DM may need to customize something themselves if they're even allow such a magically item, since adding a modifier bonus (such as Intelligence) to cantrip attacks would be fairly powerful. As previously mentioned, this type of bonus is an ability that some classes gain at higher levels (such as a 10th level evocation wizard). It would unbalance the game a fair amount to allow an uncommon magical item duplicate a 10th level wizard ability.
I would offer a suggestion that maybe the DM would allow a magical item that allows this modifier bonus but only to one specific cantrip that the PC has. Think of it being something like the Agonizing Blast invocation that warlocks receive for their eldritch blast cantrip, but it applies only to flame bolt or ray of frost or something else. So the PC gets a magical silver bracelet with strange arcane runes etched into the metal and a garnet that seems to flicker with flames, and the character wearing it suddenly seems to better understand how to use their flame bolts to cause more fiery damage...
a potential homebrew magic item might have this ability:
"When you attune to this ring, you may select one spell you know that requires an attack roll and deals damage. When casting the selected spell while wearing and attuned to this ring, you can add additional damage equal to your spellcasting modifier to one damage roll of the spell. The damage matches the damage inflicted by the spell (if a spell inflicts multiple damage types, you choose from the types inflicted). You may change the spell selected whenever you complete a long rest."
I feel this would qualify as an uncommon level item; it only affects one spell at a time, only activates for a single damage roll (no spamming scorching ray or eldritch blast for unbalanced damage), and requires attunement.

Just be wary of using that with Magic Missile. Restricting it to a Cantrip isn't a bad idea.
Item requires an attack roll so Magic missile is disqualified as it is an automatic hit.
Ah, good catch! I glossed over the non-standard language.
