A Drunken Master Monk took Fey-Touched (Wisdom) for her level 8 Feat and picked Hex for her Level 1 spell. Tipsy Sway allows her to burn a ki point to use her reaction to have a melee attack that misses her strike another creature within 5 feet of her. Assuming said second creature was the subject of the Hex, would they take the extra d6 of necrotic damage?
My instinct is yes. The attacking creature's attack ended when they missed their strike. It is the monk's ki and reaction ability that causes the attack to strike home, therefore Hex applies, but there is definitely room for clarification.
No Hex won't work because it let you deal extra damage to target you hit it with an attack, but Tipsŷ Sway is not you attacking but the creature triggering your Redirect Attack ability.

It's the other creature attacking, not you, so hex doesn't apply.
