So, I'm building a warlock and I want to take the pact of the Chain. I was thinking about the Imp and Quasit's Shapechanger ability that lets the familiar "polymorph" to a beast(Like the Imp that can turn into rat, a raven , or a Spider).
In the description of the shapechanger ability states that "It statistics are the same in each form, except for the speed changes noted". The Quasit does not have any blindsight, but it can shapechange into the bat that actually has 60ft of blindsight.
So my questio is, considering RaW, the only difference between them would be the appearence of the familiar, and whether one has a certain type of speed?
For example, if I ask my Quasit familiar to transform into a Bat, it means that all the statistics from the familiar(Resistances, immunities, senses, languages, skills, actions, etc)are the same but the movement, and my familiar now has a Fly speed of 40ft. thanks to the tranformation into a Bat, but it will not gain the Bat's benefit of 60ft. blindsight?

A quasit can't turn into a bat, so it can't gain blindsight. It can adopt a form that resembles a bat, and that form will have a fly speed of 40. It's a quasit before and after it changes shape - the only difference is its speed.

You got it. It changes shape and gains a fly speed. That's it.
