my 7th level character recently got a luck sword and naturally I want to cast simulacrum.
1st. Is this a good idea?
2nd. Does Dispel Magic effect Simulacrum? I'm pretty sure it does, but I wanted to be sure

I love drow, rogues and Chinese weapons. I mean come on, rope darts are awesome.
My current character is a drow shadow monk, with a "unique" honor code (give him some time, he's working through some stuff). He also sucks on the socialization side of interacting with all other living creatures. which is very fun to RP.
so it would be difficult but not impossible for it to be dispelled

That is a good way of putting it. DC 18 is a relatively high roll to make and unless you are a bard or an abujration wizard with the relevant class features, you will probably not gain any proficiency bonus on the roll.
The spell simulacrum has a duration of "Until Dispelled", so it seems likely that Dispel Magic will affect it.
This, but they would have to succeed a DC 18 ability check.
Or be a 13th level caster and upcast the spell to 7th level.
Kind of depends on how the DM rules wish. If the ruling us that wish casts the spell at its base level, then yeah 7th level dispel or DC17. If the ruling is that wish casts the spell at level 8 (which I've seen JC tweets say) then 8th level dispel or DC18. And lastly, if the DM rules that wish just assumes the effect of the replicated spell then it is still a level 9 spell requiring 9th level dispel or DC19.
But at minimum what you said, which is pretty good for level 7 PCs.

Oh, Luck Blade, not luck sword, that you're hoping will have at least one wish in it.
BTW, congratulations on finding a legendary item at 7th level!
