What happens to someone in Gaseous form who is hit by Gust of Wind? Since Gust of Wind disperses gas or vapor, is the character "dispersed"? Is that person killed in an awful way with pieces everywhere since they were dispersed, or do they finally reappear 15 feet away with all their stuff scattered? Or are they merely, blown away and they finally drop the gas form & reappear with all their stuff? Can they intentionally fail the save & move 15 feet away? If they attempt to save & fail do they lose concentration & revert to normal form, or get dispersed? So many possibilities here.
Since Gust of Wind can’t do any damage I’d rule that it just blows the person in Gaseous Form exactly the same way it would if they were in their true form. If they fight against being blown away I would allow a perception check to notice that the cloud of gas was staying in place instead of blowing away the way the caster expected.
I'd probably say the gaseous person gets pushed somewhere by the wind. They don't much care that they've been "dispersed", they're incorporeal anyway, the same magic that was holding the gas together before is still holding it together after being blown by some wind.
If you can pass through tiny cracks in gaseous form, I don't see how wind gust would harm you in reference to being dispersed. It's just not one of the effects that you are vulnerable to according to the spell.
1) Gaseous form is already a pretty crappy spell. Do not weaken it further.
2) Nothing in Gust of Wind says it does damage. By RAW, you can be dispersed without taking any damage.
3) As a general rule if you think someone has found an 'innovative' way to make a non-damaging spell do damage, it should never be better than a spell of the same level. There is no to hit involved, so if I decided to House Rule I would declare that Gust of Wind did damage to a gaseous form, then it would be a Con save to do 2d6 (save negates) magical force damage every round they were in the area. That seems reasonable for a 2nd level spell. Because it is a Con save, the gaseous form would have advantage on the saves. As always, if they take damage, they have to make a concentration check or come out of Gaseous form.
