I'm still relatively new but I've got a question about Arcane Ward in regards to elves and long rests. Arcane ward basically disappears after a long rest. Since elves get the benefits of a long rest without it actually being a long rest, does arcane ward ever disappear? I would assume so but not sure.
Arcane Ward - Once per long rest, when you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, you can create a magical ward on yourself that lasts until you finish a long rest. The ward has 9 max HP, and takes damage instead of you until it reaches 0 HP. Whenever you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, the ward regains HP equal to twice the level of the spell.
Long Rest - A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps for at least 6 hours and performs no more than 2 hours of light activity, such as reading, talking, eating, or standing watch.
Trance - You don't need to sleep, but meditate semiconsciously for 4 hours a day. While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
The Elves' Trance is mechanically a long rest (Elves presented in later books like Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse state this more clearly). The ability merely lets them do it in 4 hours, and without having to sleep. That means the Arcane Ward disappears and can be regenerated anew each day.

I figured as such. It was just a weird wording and wanted to make sure. Thank you!
