Ok, so I am looking at both of these feats and I am wondering if its possible to apply Elemental Adapt to Booming Blade especially once you hit 5th level and it adds the Thunder damage to the initial hit; additionally would it apply to the damage if they moved on their own? It is obviously the spell adding the damage type, but it gets murky since the spell allows me to make the melee attack rather than being spell damage direct.
Elemental Adept just says you ignore resistance with any damage you deal with spells, not spell attacks. That being said, Elemental Adept (Thunder) is pretty useless since barely anything has resistance to thunder damage, and the secondary effect (1s become 2s on damage) is pitiful, especially with booming blade which works with d8s instead of d6s.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
