2024 Free Rules vs DMG

Ran into an issue where the free rules 2024 and DMG are not in synch.  Ring of fire resistance in free rules (and on the character sheet) say it requires attunement, but the DMG do not.  Glitch or just not updated in the system yet? 

We don't have our physical DMG yet.

However, 2014 required attunement, D&D Beyond free rules ring of fire resistance requires attunement. If the print and physical DMGs say it does not require attunement, I would expect that to be an error and expect it to be included whenever they get around to publishing an errata.

I would be shocked if not requiring attunement was correct.
