There is some language in portion of the feat that grants a bonus 2nd level spell that isn't completely clear and I'm hoping to get people's input. Each of the three robes have language allowing the selection of a 2nd level spell from two schools of magic, but it doesn't specifically say a wizard spell, so I'm wondering if that means its open to other classes not normally available to wizards? The exact language for the red robes is below, replace the schools with others for different robes.
You learn one 2nd-level spell of your choice. The 2nd-level spell must be from the illusion or transmutation school of magic. You can cast this feat’s 2nd-level spell without a spell slot, and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. You can also cast this spell using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. The spell’s spellcasting ability is the one chosen when you gained the Initiate of High Sorcery feat.

It can be from any spell list. Fey touched and shadow touched feats have similar wording.
So I went and made a character and spike growth was an option which is not normally on the wizard spell list. Cordon of Arrows too.
Yep. It is not restricted by class spell list. Just like Fey touched and Shadow touched.
