Second off, to my actual question: if a character is invisible, as if using the Invisibility Spell, I get that they can't provoke an attack of opportunity, as they can't be seen. However, if they're using a different form of invisibility, specifically as allowed by the One with Shadows Eldritch Invocation, would you consider them to be eligible to provoke an attack the moment they start moving? To clarify, the invocation is:
When you are in an area of dim light or darkness, you can use your action to become invisible until you move or take an action or a reaction.
The Warlock in question had several enemies within melee range. My rationale is that, yes, the enemies absolutely get to take their opportunity attack because you're moving out of their threat range; their rationale is that the first enemy couldn't see them until they were moving, not when they started to move.
My own thinking, looking at it: they were moving, therefore the invisibility is ended and yes, even zombies are aware of you and can take opportunity attacks on you. It's not a gradual thing like taking off a certain magical cloak where you're revealed slowly based on what's (un)covered; the invisibility is instantaneous, and the end of it is just as fast. At the time, for the sake of finishing the session (this was literally the second to last turn in that round), I let it go, but I feel I should declare going forward that that's not how invisibility (or that particular form of it) works in the future.
That said, I'm open to ideas and feedback before I finalize it: do you think that's how that Invocation can be used, or is it nonsensical?
You've got the right of it. As soon as they move, they are no longer invisible, and they provoke opportunity attacks as normal.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
I agree you become invisible until you move so when you start doing so, you are no longer invisible and since you're a creature it can see moving out of it's reach, it should be able to attack you right before you leaves its reach.

I would agree for this invocation. If you are moving out of your 5’ square you lose invisibility and the OA can occur
