Can you have both active at the same time? Mage Armor last 8 hours so you could cast that at beginning of traveling day and when you get into combat you can cast AoA on yourself? Is Agathys considered armor? The description states is more of an energy force and no where in actual description states its armor, armor only being in name in spell cause people who invented spell couldn't think of better word for the the spell title?

Those spells don't interact with each other at all. One increases AC and the other gives you temp HP but nothing in them stops you from having both going at the same time.

No it's not, it is just a name that someone decided would sound cool. It's far from the only spell/feature that have a name that has very little to do with the thing that it does.

Both are protective magical force that have different effects that don't require concentration so you can have both on you just fine.
As a rule, if two effects don’t have the same name and aren’t of the same equipment type (these are spells and not equipment), the effects stack.
