I've never really played many spellcasting classes and I wanted to try it out once. However, I'm a bit puzzled as to how some spells learn and prepare their spells. I'm making a Druid and unlike some classes, it doesn't have a "Spells Known" Column in the Druid Table. Does this mean that I can take and prepare any spell from the Druid Spell List (corresponding to the correct level of course.) For example, If I was a Level 1 Druid and had a Wisdom of 14, does that mean I could prepare any 3 spells from the 1st Level spells in the Druid Spell List?
Preparing and Casting Spells: You prepare the list of druid spells that are available for you to cast, choosing from the druid spell list. When you do so, choose a number of druid spells equal to your Wisdom modifier + your druid level (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots....You can also change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of druid spells requires time spent in prayer and meditation: at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell on your list.
