Lets say you have finally acquired your Genie bottle after you have made your Pact.
The rules say you can only stay inside for a time, hours, equal to twice your proficiency modifier. And then you can only go back inside once you have made a long rest.
Well lets say your proficiency modifier lets you stay inside for 8 hours. Could you rest while inside and just continue to stay inside without ever coming out?
A character can’t benefit from more than one long rest in a 24-hour period,
So, no. But you can take your long rest in there, pop out when you are done. Spend one round outside using your action to pop back in. And spend another 8 hours. Pretty close to a continuous 16 hours.
Once you get to a high enough level that you can bring your allies in with you, if your party has a face other than you, maybe a changeling eloquence bard, you could put everyone in the bottle, and have it carried by the face when infiltrating, then if combat breaks out, the rest of the party appears in just a moment for a surprise attack. You can't be the one on the outside because the others can only stay in the bottle while you're also in it. The great part of this is that it doesn't have the Bag of Holding limitation on breathing, nor the weight limit.

Thanks.
I forgot about the 24 hour limit.
