Do we have a ruling as to whether or not the secondary arms of a threekreen can throw a light weapon they're wielding provided said weapon has the thrown property? These buggers have always been difficult for me to research for.
It looks like they can throw light weapons with their smaller hands. The feature doesn't really restrict what you can do with the hands, just what you can hold. It's implied, then, that you can use the things that you can hold in just as many ways as with your main hands.

RAW, the secondary arms can be used to manipulate objects, pick up or set down tiny objects and wield A weapon with the light property.
So a Thri Kreen could wield a sword and shield in the main hands. And a hand crossbow in the secondary hands. The Thri kreen could make a sword attack or fire the hand crossbow as its Attack Action. It would not be able to fire the hand crossbow without the Crossbow Expert feat that allows it fire one as its Bonus Action. Either way it still has the Shield's AC bonus as well as a free hand to reload the crossbow.
A dagger also has the light ability so the Thri Kreen could wield it in the above scenario in place of the hand crossbow and nothing in the description specifies that it can't throw the dagger as its Attack Action. (As always, the DM of the game its being attempted in has the final call.)
This is a really good ability for a merchant who is holding a box with its main hands and a mugger thinks its easy prey.
Thri-kreen's Secondary Arms can wield light weapon and attack with them when a proper action is taken, just as with their primary one. Basically, it gives more ways to wield objects, not make additional attacks still being limited by action economy.

Can you wield a weapon for each of the Secondary Arms? Could I wield 2 shortswords, in each arms?
sure....but it gives you no more attacks so you spin and flash them around, visually impressing bystanders.
