Adept of the White Robes - Protective Ward... A Feat from Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen
Let's say a character is dealt 4 points of slashing damage from a dagger and 6 points of poison damage from the same dagger. The wizard expends a 2nd level spell slot and wants to negate the poison damage using Protective Ward, is the wizard allowed to CHOOSE which damage is negated because there are two different damage types or is the wizard forced to try and negate all of the damage with 2d6+INT Mod. in reaction to the damage dealt? What are the rules on this? Thanks in advance!!

The feat does not let you choose which damage is negated.
He is forced to try and negate it all.
Thank you for the quick response... do you have a page reference for this in the DMG or PHB that I can look to?
It is simply a Rules as Written interpretation of the Adept of the White Robes feat. It reduces damage, without mentioning anything about the type.
Feats and other abilities do what they say, they do not get extra powers.
