You have practiced techniques useful in melee combat against spellcasters, gaining the following benefits:
When a creature within 5 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
When you damage a creature that is concentrating on a spell, that creature has disadvantage on the saving throw it makes to maintain its concentration.
You have advantage on saving throws against spells cast by creatures within 5 feet of you.
--------------------------
Innate Spellcasting. The barlgura’s spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13). The barlgura can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
Invisibility. The sprite magically turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the sprite wears or carries is invisible with it.
---------------------------
OK, here it goes... (See above for more insight/info) If you have the Mage Slayer feat... can you use any of it's three 'powers' against creatures who have innate spellcasting? or against creatures who use powers that are mimicing spells? Or is Mage Slayer restricted only to PC/NPC actual spell casters, ie, Wizard, Bard, Cleric, Druid, etc.? (Also this is similar to Counterspell... can it stop innate casting? or no?)

Thank you for your time,

If the text says a creature casts a spell, it counts for Mage Slayer.
Against anyone that cast spell, so yes for a Barlgura but no for a Sprite.
