So my upcoming BBEG is going to be a Grim Jester, and I had some questions on how to use his Joker's Shuffle ability. I want to create a situation where the players have little to no idea that one of their own is now the BBEG, ready to run amok. The thing is, what should I do with the initiative if the Grim Jester succeeds in switching places with the user?
So before I begin, let's just assume some things:
I have a way of secretly telling the player targeted by the Joker's Shuffle that they're being targeted.
If the player fails and is switched, I have a way of talking to the player about the situation without the rest of the party finding out (we play online, so I can use text messages + side video calls).
With that said, on to my dilemma...
The party knows the initiative order of each member. So if the switch happens, and I don't ALSO switch the initiative order of the Jester and the target, the party will know something's up. But if I do switch, then depending on the initiative order, the player could get screwed because the Jester could end up going twice in one round while the player loses their turn.

So, how would all of you run it?
